Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Fulham midfielder Sander Berge, according to a report from The Athletic.
The Red Devils have already agreed a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta following Casemiro’s departure on a free transfer this summer.
However, the Ederson transfer will not be made official until the Brazilian completes his World Cup campaign with the national team.
Manager Michael Carrick is said to want at least one more midfielder added to his squad before the transfer window closes.
If Manuel Ugarte departs Old Trafford this summer, United could look to bring in an additional midfielder to cover the gap left behind.
United have been prioritising Premier League-proven targets, with Mateus Fernandes, Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, Alex Scott, and Sandro Tonali all linked with moves to the club.
Those options are all expected to come with significant price tags, leading the club to identify cheaper alternatives should their primary targets prove unattainable.

Berge is a 6ft 5in versatile midfielder who is a CDM by trade but is equally comfortable operating in a box-to-box role, with strong aerial ability and an eye for long-range passing.
The 28-year-old has helped Norway reach the World Cup for the first time since 1998, demonstrating his consistent form and growing stature within the European game.
Berge’s existing contract at Craven Cottage runs until 2029, which gives Fulham considerable leverage in any potential negotiations over his future.
