Manchester United are reportedly locked in a transfer battle with Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to sign Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey this summer.

The 24-year-old joined Sunderland from Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam last summer and made an immediate impression in the Premier League during his debut campaign.

Brobbey scored seven goals and registered one assist across 22 starts, helping Sunderland punch well above their weight as a newly promoted side.

His contributions proved crucial as Sunderland finished seventh in the Premier League, securing a place in next season’s Europa League competition.

Ronald Koeman rewarded Brobbey’s strong club form by including him in the Netherlands squad for the World Cup, and the striker has since scored twice against Sweden.

According to TEAMtalk, those eye-catching performances have attracted significant interest from multiple clubs both in England and across Europe this transfer window.

Manchester United are said to hold a long-standing interest in Brobbey and are looking to sign a striker to create competition for Benjamin Sesko at Old Trafford.

Tottenham, who finished 17th in the Premier League in each of the last two seasons, are looking to overhaul their squad under Roberto De Zerbi and appear keen on adding a new centre-forward.

Chelsea, preparing to embark on a new rebuild under Xabi Alonso, are reportedly seeking a new No.9 to create competition for João Pedro after Liam Delap struggled to showcase his best last term.

Beyond the Premier League, Juventus, Stuttgart, and Atlético Madrid are also said to be considering making a move for the Dutch striker this summer.

Aston Villa have also expressed interest, meaning Brobbey is attracting attention from a wide range of clubs across England and the continent.

Sunderland, however, have no intention of letting their prized asset leave, with Brobbey currently under contract until 2029 at the Stadium of Light.

The club are reportedly preparing to offer him a fresh long-term deal to ward off interest, with Transfermarkt valuing the striker at around £26m.

United, Tottenham, and Chelsea will all need to move decisively if they are to have any realistic chance of prising him away from Wearside this summer.
