Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott as Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad this summer transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs are among several Premier League clubs currently showing serious interest in the 22-year-old.

Manchester United and Arsenal have both already made initial enquiries about Scott, who is valued at around £60 million by Bournemouth.

However, both of those approaches were knocked back by the Cherries, who have made their position on the matter abundantly clear.

Bournemouth have no intention of selling Scott during the current transfer window and are instead focused on securing his long-term future at the club.

Discussions over a new contract have already taken place, with the south coast club hopeful Scott will continue his development under recently-appointed head coach Marco Rose.

Scott has established himself as one of Bournemouth’s most important players since arriving from Bristol City, with his performances attracting growing interest from England’s biggest clubs over the past two seasons.

His profile has continued to rise despite missing out on England’s World Cup squad this summer, having reportedly been strongly considered for selection before ultimately being left out of the final group.

The interest in Scott forms part of a broader midfield recruitment drive at Tottenham, who are also pursuing Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali and West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes this summer.

Newcastle value Tonali at around £100 million, and Spurs had an opening bid of around £80 million knocked back by the Magpies as negotiations continue.

The Independent reported this week that positive discussions have taken place between Tottenham and West Ham over Fernandes, with a deal that could eventually be worth around £85 million.

Reports have suggested Fernandes is close to reaching an agreement over personal terms, adding further momentum to that particular pursuit.

Elsewhere, Tottenham have already completed the signing of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka on a free transfer following his departure from Burnley.

Dubravka spent last season at Turf Moor after a lengthy spell at Newcastle, and his arrival adds depth and competition to the squad as De Zerbi builds his group for the season ahead.
