Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are reportedly competing to sign RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, with the German club valuing the player at £51m.
The Sun reports that Tottenham are keen to reinforce their left flank, though any move for Nusa is dependent on player sales being completed first.
Spurs currently have Mathys Tel, Manor Solomon, Mikey Moore, and Wilson Odobert available as left-sided options in their attacking department.
Odobert has been sidelined with a serious knee problem, while Solomon has struggled to establish himself consistently in the Premier League since joining as a free agent.
Moore and Tel are still developing as young players, which has driven Tottenham’s interest in adding a more experienced option on the left wing.
Reports indicate that Moore and Solomon are attracting interest from clubs in Serie A and the Premier League, which could facilitate funds for an incoming transfer.
Arsenal have also entered the race for Nusa, having previously missed out on signing Morgan Rogers during this transfer window.
Following Leandro Trossard’s move to Besiktas, Arsenal reinforced their left flank by signing Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, but further depth remains a priority for the club.
With Gabriel Martinelli’s contract set to expire at the end of next season, his long-term future at the Emirates Stadium remains uncertain, adding urgency to Arsenal’s wide options.
AS Roma and AC Milan are also involved in the pursuit of Nusa, with the Italian clubs providing strong competition for both Premier League sides.
AC Milan have identified the Norwegian international as a potential replacement for Rafael Leao, while Roma have already held direct contacts with the player’s representatives.
Roma are prepared to test RB Leipzig’s resolve by submitting a formal offer of around £38m, well short of the club’s asking price of at least £51m.
Nusa’s current contract runs until 2029, giving Leipzig considerable leverage in negotiations and little pressure to accept a below-valuation bid.
The 20-year-old is described as a quick, technically sound winger who can dribble past defenders in tight areas and create chances for teammates while also working hard off the ball.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal or Tottenham will make a concrete move to sign Nusa before the current transfer window closes.
