Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, according to journalist Nicolo Schira, pushing his Anfield move closer to reality.
The 23-year-old French international has been one of the most heavily pursued attackers in European football heading into this summer’s transfer window.
Barcola came through the academy ranks at Lyon before making the move to PSG in the summer of 2023, and he has not looked back since.
Across his time in Paris, the winger has registered an impressive 39 goals and 37 assists, cementing his reputation as one of the most dangerous wide forwards in Europe.
He has also been an integral figure in PSG’s dominance under Luis Enrique, contributing to three consecutive Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League title triumphs.
His role at the club has faced some pressure following the arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli, yet Barcola has continued to deliver at the highest level.
He still managed 20 goal contributions in all competitions for Les Parisiens this past season, underlining his quality whenever given the opportunity on the pitch.
Andoni Iraola has identified Barcola as Liverpool’s main target to replace Mohamed Salah, with the club understood to have made him their priority signing this summer.
Schira reports that Barcola has agreed to a lucrative contract with the Merseyside club through to 2032, making his personal terms package one of the most significant at Anfield.
Liverpool are now ready to submit a formal offer in excess of £85m to PSG in order to secure his signature, according to the Italian journalist.
However, PSG are holding firm on a valuation believed to be somewhere between £128m and £145m, meaning a significant gap still exists between the two clubs.
Barcola also caught the eye on the international stage, scoring three goals and contributing one assist in seven appearances as France netted 20 goals at the FIFA World Cup.
Whether Liverpool’s £85m bid will be enough to move PSG’s position remains the key question as negotiations between the two clubs gather pace this summer.
