Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola as they look to reshape their attacking options this summer.

The interest comes after a turbulent season for Liverpool, who finished fifth in the Premier League despite spending around £450m on seven new signings the previous summer.

Following that disappointing campaign, Liverpool parted ways with manager Arne Slot and have since appointed Andoni Iraola as the club’s new head coach.

Iraola now faces the challenge of rebuilding a squad that has been hit by Mohamed Salah’s departure and a serious injury suffered by Hugo Ekitike.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool admire Barcola very much and have been keeping a close eye on his situation at Parc des Princes ahead of a potential move.

Barcola, 23, has entered the final two years of his contract at PSG, giving the French champions significant leverage when it comes to setting a transfer fee.

The left-winger is valued at around £60m by Transfermarkt, and his future at the club has been a topic of speculation given his struggles to break into Luis Enrique’s starting line-up for big matches over the past two seasons.

Arsenal are also in the hunt for Barcola, though their primary attacking target this summer is reported to be Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.

The Gunners’ need for wide reinforcements has been sharpened by Leandro Trossard’s impending move to Turkish giants Besiktas, leaving Gabriel Martinelli as their only recognised left-wing option, with his own contract entering its final year.

Liverpool’s frontline search is not limited to Barcola alone, with The Athletic also linking the club with Brighton and Hove Albion’s Yankuba Minteh, FC Koln’s Said El Mala, and LOSC Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo.

Barcola has demonstrated his quality at the highest level for both club and country, and at 23, he is yet to reach his peak years as a professional.

Whichever club secures his signature would be adding a player capable of operating at the elite level of European football on a regular basis.

With both Liverpool and Arsenal holding genuine interest, the coming weeks are likely to determine whether either side makes a formal approach to PSG for the talented Frenchman.
