Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made contact with TSG Hoffenheim regarding a potential move for striker Fisnik Asllani, according to TEAMtalk.
The North London club currently have Dominic Solanke and Richarlison as their primary centre-forward options heading into the new campaign.
Spurs had Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain last season to supplement their attacking options, but opted against making that deal permanent.
With Kolo Muani now back in the French capital, Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly looking to bring in a new striker to bolster the squad.
Solanke endured a difficult season hampered by fitness problems, while Richarlison is now entering the final year of his contract at the club.
TEAMtalk report that AFC Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi remains Tottenham’s primary transfer target, with the player said to be tempted by a move to London to work under De Zerbi.
However, Bournemouth have shown no willingness to sell, with Kroupi contracted until 2030 and the club reportedly placing an £85m asking price on the forward.
With that deal looking extremely difficult to complete, Tottenham have turned their attention to Asllani as a viable alternative striking option.
The 23-year-old Kosovar impressed last season, scoring 11 goals and registering eight assists in 35 appearances across all competitions for Hoffenheim.
Standing at 6ft 3in and comfortable with both feet, Asllani offers a physical presence in attack combined with genuine technical quality and versatility.
Spurs are not alone in their admiration, with Barcelona and RB Leipzig also reported to have expressed serious interest in signing the striker this summer.
Asllani is valued at approximately £30m by Transfermarkt and has a contract running until 2029, meaning Hoffenheim hold considerable leverage in any negotiations.
Tottenham are also tracking Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi as another potential attacking option alongside both Kroupi and Asllani.
Whether De Zerbi’s side make a firm and concrete offer for Asllani remains to be seen, but initial contact has already been established between the clubs.
