Spurs are reportedly pushing to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville, entering a transfer battle with Manchester United and AS Roma.

Transfer journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed Tottenham’s interest in the Dutch winger as they look to strengthen their attacking options under Roberto De Zerbi.

Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League for two consecutive campaigns and have been extremely active this summer in their bid to rebuild the squad.

The club have already overhauled their defensive line by bringing in Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Jan Paul van Hecke ahead of the new season.

Their midfield has also been significantly strengthened following the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali to add quality and depth to the engine room.

Tottenham have further bolstered their goalkeeping department by signing Martin Dubravka and extending the contract of Antonin Kinsky.

Jacobs stated on Givemesport: “Defenders have come in, midfielders have come in, and now Tottenham, as a priority, want a starting left-winger or attacker.”

He added: “Savinho talks [are] ongoing, but he’s not the only target. Crysencio Summerville, Manchester United and most recently Roma are there as well.”

Despite West Ham’s relegation last season, the club are holding firm on their valuation of Summerville with his contract running until 2029 and a price tag of around £50m.

The 24-year-old is a versatile and technically gifted winger who is capable of operating on either flank and causing problems in tight defensive areas.

Summerville managed 10 goal contributions across all competitions last season despite his side’s relegation from the Premier League, demonstrating his individual quality.

His performances were enough to earn him a place in the Netherlands’ World Cup squad, where he helped his country reach the last-32 before losing to Morocco on penalties.

With Summerville still developing and not yet a finished product, either Tottenham or Manchester United could be making a smart long-term investment at the £50m asking price.

The race now intensifies as three clubs compete for his signature, and it remains to be seen whether De Zerbi’s side can win out over their rivals this summer.
