Despite United’s reported optimism, completing this deal remains an enormous challenge given Lewis-Skelly’s central place in both Arsenal’s immediate plans and their long-term strategy.
Selling such an important player to a direct Premier League rival is not something Arsenal are expected to seriously entertain, regardless of the fee on the table.
