Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks to sign highly rated England youth international midfielder Louis Page from Leicester City this summer.
The BBC has reported that United are working on a deal to bring the 18-year-old to Old Trafford, beating out interest from Premier League champions Arsenal and Aston Villa.
Page joined Leicester City at the under-nine level and steadily worked his way through the club’s academy ranks over the years.
He made his first-team debut against Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup in August 2025, quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting young talents in English football.
Despite his young age, Page accumulated 22 first-team appearances for Leicester, including five Championship starts during their relegation campaign last season.
His breakthrough year earned him the EFL Apprentice of the Year award, a remarkable individual achievement despite Leicester’s drop into League One.
He most recently featured as a 79th-minute substitute in Leicester’s League Cup victory over Northampton Town, with the Foxes preparing for their League One campaign away to Notts County.
Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe became a minority shareholder at United, the club have placed an increasing emphasis on recruiting young players with significant developmental potential.
Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell have been influential in shaping that youth-driven recruitment philosophy, drawing on experience from Manchester City and the Red Bull network respectively.
That approach has already produced arrivals including Harley Emsden-James, Enzo Kana-Biyik, Ayden Heaven, Chido Obi, Diego Leon, and most recently Cristian Orozco.
Academy prospects Shea Lacey and JJ Gabriel have also been given opportunities to train alongside the first team under Michael Carrick at Carrington.
Described as “very gifted,” Page would represent yet another exciting addition to United’s growing youth project, following the signing of Tynan Thompson from Tottenham Hotspur.
