Tottenham Hotspur are locked in a three-way transfer battle with Arsenal and Manchester United to sign Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye this summer.
According to Caught Offside, Spurs have expressed serious interest in the 26-year-old and have been monitoring his development closely ahead of a potential move.
Tottenham have already been busy reshaping their squad under manager Roberto De Zerbi following a dramatic escape from relegation on the final day of last season.
The club secured the signings of Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke to shore up their defensive options during the transfer window.
Spurs then turned their attention to midfield, completing deals for Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes to add quality and depth in the centre of the park.
With defensive and midfield recruitment largely complete, Tottenham have now shifted focus to strengthening their attack, with Ndiaye emerging as a key target.
However, the north London club face fierce competition, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa all credited with interest in the Everton winger.
Everton have made their valuation clear, insisting they will not sanction a departure for anything less than £75m despite the player’s contract running until 2029.
The situation is complicated further by interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, who are reportedly in pole position and preparing to launch a formal £51m bid.
Arsenal appear to have the most pressing need for Ndiaye, having already signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge to replace Leandro Trossard, who joined Besiktas this summer.
Ndiaye is a right-footed left-winger by nature but is comfortable operating on either flank, making him a versatile option for any of the interested clubs.
At Manchester United, manager Michael Carrick already has Matheus Cunha, Marcus Rashford and Patrick Dorgu competing for the left flank position, making the need less urgent.
Ndiaye is currently at the prime stage of his career and has shown glimpses of his qualities in the Premier League during his time at Everton.
Whether Tottenham, Arsenal or Manchester United make a concrete move to match Everton’s asking price remains to be seen as the summer window progresses.
