West Ham United have entered negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over a permanent deal for winger Manor Solomon this summer transfer window.
The move comes as West Ham look to fill the void left by Crysencio Summerville, who recently secured a big-money transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
Summerville was one of the Hammers’ most influential attacking players despite the club suffering relegation from the Premier League last season.
Finding a suitable replacement on the left wing has become one of West Ham’s most pressing priorities as they prepare for Championship football.
According to The Athletic’s Seb Stafford-Bloor, Tottenham and West Ham are actively in negotiations over a permanent transfer for the Israel international.
Solomon joined Spurs in 2023 but a combination of injuries and multiple loan spells limited him to just five Premier League appearances for the north London club.
With Roberto De Zerbi and Spurs seemingly prepared to sanction his departure, a move across the capital is becoming increasingly realistic for the winger.
Solomon spent last season on loan at Leeds United, where he proved himself one of the Championship’s most effective wide players under manager Daniel Farke.
He registered 22 goal contributions across 39 league appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists as Leeds claimed the Championship title with 100 points.
Solomon also etched his name into Leeds folklore by scoring a dramatic stoppage-time winner on the final day against Plymouth Argyle to clinch the Championship crown.
The similarities between Solomon and Summerville are clear, with both players at their best cutting inside from the left wing onto their stronger right foot.
Solomon’s versatility adds further appeal, as the winger can also operate in a central role or on the right flank if required by his manager.
His proven Championship pedigree and existing familiarity with English football would help him adapt quickly without needing a lengthy settling-in period.
The geographical convenience of a cross-capital transfer also works in West Ham’s favour as they push to wrap up the deal swiftly before the new season begins.
