Arsenal are keeping close tabs on AIK centre-forward Kevin Filling, a highly rated Sweden U19 international, according to a report from CaughtOffside.
The 17-year-old began his career at IK Franke before moving to Swedish second-tier side Vasteras SK, the club where former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof came through the ranks.
His performances at Vasteras SK quickly attracted the attention of 12-time Swedish champions AIK, who brought Filling into their academy at the age of 14 ahead of the 2023 season.
After progressing rapidly through the youth ranks and completing a short loan stint with Enköpings SK, Filling earned his first senior start on 29 June 2025.
He marked that debut in emphatic fashion, scoring in a commanding 3-0 victory over IFK Göteborg to announce himself on the senior stage.
Filling has represented Sweden at every youth level from U15 through to U19, and is even being tipped for a call-up to the senior national side under manager Graham Potter.
Despite his age, the 6ft 1in forward has been handed a prominent role at AIK this season and has responded with seven goal contributions across all competitions.
Arsenal scouts have made multiple trips to Stockholm to watch Filling, with the Premier League champions identifying him as a player who could be developed into a future first-team asset over the coming seasons.
While AIK are not eager to sell, CaughtOffside reports that a package valued between £17m and £21m, including add-ons, a sell-on clause, and a potential loan back to the Swedish club, could be enough to get a deal over the line.
Former teammate and current Go Ahead Eagles forward Erik Flataker has described Filling as “fantastic”, adding further credibility to the widespread European interest in the teenager.
Arsenal face serious competition for his signature, with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool, as well as Italian giants Juventus, all reported to have shown interest in the forward.
Should Arsenal succeed, Filling would follow a growing list of young talents including Evan Mooney, Jaden Dixon, Elijah Upson, and Axel Donczew, who have all made the move to the Emirates in recent seasons.
The Gunners’ track record of handing first-team debuts to academy and development players could prove a key selling point as they look to edge out their rivals for the Swedish teenager’s signature.
