Burnley’s miserable start to the Championship season deepened on Saturday as Bristol City claimed a dramatic 2-1 victory at Turf Moor to leave the Clarets rock bottom of the table.
Head coach Nicky Hayen has now collected just two points from five league games since his appointment in July following Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League.
Aaron Ramsey gave the hosts hope with a 56th-minute opener, but Rob Dickie’s 82nd-minute header and a stunning stoppage-time strike from substitute Yu Hirakawa sealed all three points for the visitors.

“I completely understand the fans, they’re frustrated and disappointed,” said Hayen. “Of course, it’s not nice to experience this, but I understand and I can accept it. The only thing we can do is keep on fighting back and showing resilience.”
West Ham claimed a convincing 3-0 home victory over Derby, their second win at home in just five days, courtesy of goals from Joël Piroe and two late substitute strikes.
