Manchester United begin their 2026/27 Champions League campaign at home to Azerbaijani side Sabah at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
The Red Devils arrive into the match on the back of a disappointing 2-2 draw at Everton on Sunday, conceding a last-gasp equaliser at Goodison Park.
Manager Michael Carrick has responded to that result by making four changes to the side that featured in the Premier League fixture at the weekend.
Goalkeeper Senne Lammens keeps his place between the sticks as one of the more experienced names to retain his starting berth from Sunday.
Noussair Mazraoui comes back into the side at right-back, displacing Diogo Dalot, who drops to the substitutes’ bench for tonight’s match.
Leny Yoro replaces Harry Maguire in central defence, while Lisandro Martinez keeps his spot and Patrick Dorgu starts at left-back in place of Luke Shaw.
Youri Tielemans and Kobbie Mainoo are partnered together in central midfield, with Andrey Santos having to settle for a place among the substitutes.
Bryan Mbeumo starts on the right flank once more, with Bruno Fernandes taking up the attacking midfield role after a strong start to the season.
Benjamin Sesko leads the line up front after netting off the bench last time out, with Matheus Cunha deployed on the left wing as Marcus Rashford drops to the bench.
Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount are among the other notable options available to Carrick from the substitutes’ bench should he need to make changes during the match.
