According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have expressed their interest in signing the Nottingham Forest midfielder after being drawn in by his recent eye-catching performances.
Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Aston Villa are also reportedly interested in the 26-year-old, meaning Gibbs-White has no shortage of potential suitors this summer.
Gibbs-White has been a talismanic figure at the City Ground ever since joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers back in 2022, cementing his status as one of the league’s most dangerous creators.
During the 2024/25 season, he registered 15 goal contributions across 38 appearances in all competitions, also helping Nottingham Forest qualify for the Europa League.
This season he elevated his game even further, scoring 18 goals and registering seven assists across 53 appearances in all tournaments despite Forest enduring a difficult campaign.
Thomas Tuchel notably omitted him from the England squad for this summer’s World Cup, which may have come as a surprise given the form he has shown throughout the season.
Man United are considered unlikely to make a concrete move for Gibbs-White, however, given they already have Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount and are prioritising deeper midfield positions this summer.
Tottenham’s interest is driven in part by injury concerns, with Xavi Simons having suffered a serious knee injury and expected to remain sidelined for several months, mirroring a similar issue that affected James Maddison earlier in the season.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have Cole Palmer as their primary creative midfielder, though he struggled with fitness problems this season, raising questions about the depth available in that area of the pitch.
Gibbs-White is a versatile operator who excels in the No.10 role but can also contribute effectively in a box-to-box capacity, offering pace, long-range passing ability, and a strong work rate without the ball.
