Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado, according to a recent Spanish report covering the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old came through Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy before making his first-team debut back in 2022, quickly establishing himself as a promising talent.
Casado has enjoyed considerable success with his boyhood club, winning two La Liga titles along with several major domestic cup competitions during his time at Camp Nou.
Despite those achievements, the Spanish midfielder has found himself on the periphery under manager Hansi Flick, starting only 15 matches across all competitions last campaign.
Reports suggest that Manchester United have expressed their interest in Casado and could make a concrete approach over the coming weeks to test Barcelona’s resolve.
A key factor working in United’s favour is their strong relationship with the player’s super agent, Jorge Mendes, which could help facilitate any potential transfer negotiations.
