Arsenal are preparing a £69 million bid to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola this summer, according to reports from Caught Offside.
The Premier League champions are looking to strengthen their left wing department significantly ahead of the new season.
Both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli are regular options in that position, but the duo could depart with their contracts expiring next year.
Barcola is reportedly frustrated at PSG, with his disappointment stemming from being named on the bench for the Champions League final last month.
Mikel Arteta’s side appear willing to bring the Frenchman to the Premier League, though their £69 million valuation falls short of PSG’s asking price of £87 million.
Arsenal could also face stiff competition from Liverpool and Manchester United if they do formally enter the race for Barcola’s signature.
The 23-year-old produced a remarkable 42 goal contributions for the Champions League holders in 2024/25, though that figure dropped to 20 last term amid fierce competition from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue.
The Lyon graduate became a regular substitute during the knockout stages of the Champions League and will likely seek a club offering guaranteed starting minutes on the left wing.
Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers remains the primary target for Arsenal, with reports suggesting the Gunners could spend as much as £85 million on the Englishman.
Rogers, who registered 26 goal contributions for Villa last campaign, is prepared to listen to what Arsenal can offer, with a deal potentially becoming more expensive given Unai Emery’s side return to the Champions League next term.
The 23-year-old has extensive Premier League experience and could seamlessly slot into the left wing role where he has spent the majority of his career.
Barcola is considered the alternative option on Arsenal’s transfer wishlist, with his pace, dribbling ability, and versatility to play on either flank making him an attractive proposition for Arteta.
Whether Arsenal pursue Barcola or commit fully to Rogers will be one of the defining transfer decisions of their summer rebuild.
