Spurs are pushing to sign one of the most exciting young forwards in European football this summer, with Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi firmly in their sights.

The 19-year-old French forward made history last season by becoming the first teenager ever to score 13 goals in their debut Premier League campaign.

Kroupi was celebrated as the “next Mbappe” by GOAL before he had become a household name, and he is now beginning to live up to that billing in England’s top flight.

Bournemouth signed Kroupi for just £12m when he swapped Lorient in Ligue 2 for the south coast, and they could now bank an enormous profit on that investment.

Reports suggest Kroupi could leave Bournemouth in a deal worth as much as £90m, with Spurs among the clubs pushing hardest to secure his signature.

Cherries boss Marco Rose is understandably reluctant to part with the teenager, and it is easy to understand why given his exceptional statistics from last season.

Kroupi posted a conversion rate of 22.0 percent last term, making him one of only five strikers in the entire Premier League to finish with a better-than-average rate in front of goal.

Daniel Sturridge has already described Kroupi as “one of the best finishers in the Premier League,” and the numbers from his debut season back that assessment up completely.

Tottenham have also been working hard to reshape their midfield this summer, reportedly securing both Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali for a combined £185m after beating off competition from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Attention is now turning to the forward line, with Kroupi not the only attacking target on Roberto De Zerbi’s list as Spurs also explore moves for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo.

Savinho of Manchester City has also emerged as a serious target, with transfer insider Fabrizio Romano providing an update on his YouTube channel this week.

Romano said: “Tottenham remain very interested in Savinho. It’s a name I told you about a long time ago, months ago. Tottenham keep working on the Savinho deal and waiting on Manchester City to make a decision.”

Romano added: “Do they want to let him go or not? Conversations are ongoing and Savinho is the next big name on the list.”

The 22-year-old Brazilian started just seven Premier League matches for City last season and scored only three times, which on the surface makes the deal appear underwhelming.

However, his output in his debut English campaign tells a more impressive story, as the winger registered 13 assists in all competitions to finish as Manchester City’s top creator.

Savinho even outperformed Kevin De Bruyne in the assists column that season, a remarkable feat given De Bruyne’s reputation as one of the finest creative midfielders in Premier League history.

When it came to key passes per 90 minutes, Savinho averaged 1.6, with only De Bruyne’s 2.1 surpassing that total among City players during the same period.

Savinho also ranked in the top one percent of positionally similar players across Europe for progressive carries per 90, averaging 7.45, and in the top three percent for overall progressive actions with a figure of 9.76.

That level of creativity and forward momentum on the wing would make him a near-perfect partner for a clinical finisher like Kroupi in De Zerbi’s attacking system.

If Spurs can land both Kroupi and Savinho this summer, it would represent a remarkable window that signals genuine ambition from a club ready to compete at the very top level.
