Tottenham Hotspur are showing strong interest in Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi, according to a report from TEAMtalk.
The 21-year-old impressed heavily during his debut season in Belgium after joining Club Brugge from German side Hannover 96 last summer.
Tresoldi scored 23 goals and registered nine assists across 58 appearances in all competitions, making an immediate impact at Jan Breydel Stadium.
The young striker also contributed to Club Brugge’s domestic success, helping the Belgian side win the Pro League and Belgian Super Cup last term.
TEAMtalk claim that Tottenham scouts watched Tresoldi extensively throughout the second half of last season before the club registered their interest.
Germany head coach Jurgen Klopp is also an admirer of the youngster and is reportedly hoping to bring him into the senior national squad setup.
With international ambitions in mind, Tresoldi is said to be carefully considering his next destination, prioritising regular playing time above all else.
Leeds United are also in the hunt for the striker, with manager Daniel Farke looking to bolster his options at centre-forward this summer window.
The Yorkshire club are simultaneously pursuing Stuttgart striker Ermedin Demirovic, according to the same report, suggesting a busy transfer period ahead for Farke.
Tresoldi is valued at around £21m by Transfermarkt and is contracted with Club Brugge until 2029, meaning the Belgian club hold a strong negotiating position.
Tottenham currently have Dominic Solanke and Richarlison as their recognised striker options following the return of loanee Randal Kolo Muani to PSG.
Richarlison was Spurs’ highest scorer last season but has entered the final year of his contract, leaving his long-term future at the club uncertain.
Solanke, who joined from AFC Bournemouth, has struggled to find consistent form at Tottenham and was also hampered by fitness problems during last campaign.
