Everton have expressed interest in signing left winger Jonathan Rowe from Bologna this summer, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.
Rowe, 23, has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks since coming through the academy at Norwich City, where he made 56 appearances for the club.
While he featured in 13 Premier League games for Norwich, it was in the Championship where he established himself as one of England’s most exciting young wingers.
His standout performances earned him regular call-ups to England age groups and attracted widespread attention from clubs across Europe.
Rowe netted 12 goals in his first full season with Norwich, a return that helped lead the club to the Championship playoffs and underlined his potential.
Marseille won the race for his signature in the summer of 2024, though things did not go as planned at the French club and he subsequently joined Bologna for regular playing time.
He has since rediscovered his best form in Italy, contributing 13 goal contributions and reigniting interest from clubs in the Premier League.
Bologna are open to selling Rowe this summer, with the Serie A club asking for a fee in the region of £38m to sanction his departure.
Everton have already been active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in Hayden Hackney and Tyrique George from Middlesbrough and Chelsea respectively, while Merlin Rohl’s loan move from Freiburg has been made permanent.
The Toffees are still seeking further attacking reinforcements, particularly amid reported interest in Illiman Ndiaye and uncertainties surrounding the potential re-signing of Jack Grealish following last season’s loan spell.
Rowe’s profile does raise questions, however, as the London-born England under-21 international has not scored more than four league goals in either of the last two seasons.
Everton managed just 47 goals in the Premier League last season, and David Moyes may prefer a winger capable of delivering a higher and more consistent scoring output as the club targets European qualification.
