Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, with the Italian outlet Tutto Juve linking the Red Devils to the German forward.
United currently have Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee as their primary centre-forward options, though neither has fully convinced at Old Trafford.
Sesko took time to settle into Premier League football after arriving from RB Leipzig, but showed encouraging signs during the second half of last season.
Zirkzee has struggled considerably since joining from Bologna, managing only five league starts across the entirety of last campaign.
Tutto Juve reports that United have intensified their monitoring of Tresoldi and could make a move for the 21-year-old in the coming weeks.
Club Brugge hold the upper hand in any negotiations, with Tresoldi contracted until 2029 and the Belgian club valuing the striker at around £43m.
Should United complete the signing, the report suggests they could be willing to cash in on Zirkzee, with Juventus interested in taking the Dutchman to Turin.
The Bianconeri are pursuing Zirkzee on loan with an option or obligation to buy, though United are seeking a permanent sale from the outset.
Tresoldi made an immediate impression at Jan Breydel Stadium following his move from Hannover 96, scoring 22 goals and registering six assists in 50 appearances across all competitions last season.
He continued that form into the new campaign, netting in the Belgian Super Cup final against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on Friday night.
The youngster’s combination of goals, creative output, and high ceiling make him an appealing option for a United side looking to strengthen their frontline.
Elsewhere at Old Trafford, the club has already overhauled their midfield this summer following Casemiro’s departure and Manuel Ugarte’s serious knee injury, bringing in both Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
