Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made contact with Chelsea to explore a deal for Portuguese forward Pedro Neto this summer transfer window.

The North London club are working hard to rebuild after a turbulent Premier League campaign that saw them finish 17th and escape relegation on the final day of last season.

Despite that domestic struggle, Spurs did claim the Europa League title during the 2024/25 campaign, giving the club a platform to attract quality signings this summer.

Roberto De Zerbi’s squad has already been strengthened significantly, with Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Jan Paul van Hecke all arriving to address a leaky defensive unit.

Tottenham have also brought in Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali to add quality and experience to the midfield engine room ahead of next season.

Attention has now shifted to upgrading the wide areas, with Savinho from Manchester City identified as a primary target for Spurs in the current window.

However, according to TEAMtalk, Man City have continued to delay negotiations as they first want to sign a replacement before sanctioning Savinho’s departure from the club.

With that deal stalling, Tottenham have earmarked Chelsea’s Pedro Neto as a serious alternative option and have already made contact to learn the details of a potential transfer.

Neto, who is 26 years old, is not currently keen on leaving Stamford Bridge, but the arrivals of Geovany Quenda and Morgan Rogers could make him more open to a move.

Chelsea hold a strong negotiating position given that Neto’s existing contract runs until 2031, and the club are understood to want around £60m for the winger.

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side have also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye as they seek attacking reinforcements of their own this window.

Neto is a left-footed, versatile forward as he is comfortable on either flank, and his ability to dribble past defenders in tight areas makes him a valuable asset.

The Portuguese winger is also a Premier League-proven player currently at the prime stage of his career, making him an attractive proposition for clubs of Tottenham’s ambition.

Whether Spurs ultimately land Savinho or pivot fully to a move for Neto remains to be seen, but their intentions in the wide areas are becoming increasingly clear.
