Manchester United have received a significant boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to a report from The Athletic.
The Spanish giants are reportedly open to cashing in on the French midfielder before the 11pm transfer deadline, with several Premier League clubs registering interest.
Real Madrid have identified certain players as untouchable but are willing to move Camavinga on should the right offer arrive before the window closes tonight.
Michael Carrick’s side have been on the lookout to strengthen their midfield options after being left severely short in the engine room this summer.
The departures and injuries in central midfield left United dangerously thin, with Kobbie Mainoo emerging as the only fully available option for large stretches of the campaign.
Manuel Ugarte suffered a serious knee injury, while Casemiro also departed the club, compounding United’s problems in a crucial area of the pitch.
