We should be in pole position to bid for Connor Wickham but I fear we will let this lad go. We made some enquiries a while back when Keane was in charge over there and given our relationship with loans etc., we should consider ourselves with first refusal; which of course we’d be doing by not showing some ambition to get the lad.
