In Tomorrow’s Papers We Are In For…

Granturismo.

Roger Morgan on Spurs Odious is a whore for tomorrow’s headlines – so let’s have a look at tomorrows news – tonight. Are we allowed? Is it okay to do that? I mean we won’t get told off by anyone for sneaking a peek?

Sandro is apparently crocked for a bit. 4 weeks is the initial guess. Good of ol’ Rog to impart this in English. Opposed to a feckin’ song lyric. Or something equally tedious.

History has taught us that decent sources just get the feck on with it. Be they right or wrong. Lesser men are …a waste of time.

Esteban Granero? Is that who we’re in for?

Cool. Guy can play. Skilful enough to be a proper Tottenham player. Was with Getafe for a while by arrangement, part of the team that beat us 2-1 in our own back yard. Comfortable in possession, can shoot, flair, what’s not to like? Bye Modders.

Certainly a likely candidate by the look of things… Has the stamp of the Lillywhite all over him? Him + Diara and Modders the other way to Maureen? Now wouldn’t that be funny. I’d pass up shagging Beyonce to see Roman’s face when he hears that one.
      :-D :-D :-D

If something is not for sale you DON’T start discussing the price; that makes it seem like IT IS for sale!

Again Harry has given free rein to his trap before he’s engaged the brain or has he? This is actually the second time that he’s bought into the “thats clearly not enough” discussion. What a sensible response would be is more like, “it doesn’t matter what they are offering, he’s not for sale. Next question.”

Instead, by entering into a dialogue about the price, he’s not shutting the door on press speculation, he’s not shutting the door on Modric’s aspirations and he’s not backing up his chairman. Harry is not a fool and I can’t see this as accidental, not when he’s done it twice!

So what’s afoot? Is Levy playing tag team here; hard cop soft cop? Does Harry really want Modric more than the chance to get out and ‘wheel and deal’ with 35 million quid in his bin?

I can’t believe that levy would not pull Harry into line about “the message” and the club’s stand on this…..classic case of Tonto saying “who are you talking to Paleface”!

Despite all we are hearing “officially” the door seems to be at least ajar and that worries me. Redknapp is smart when it comes to a deal, but not so steadfast methinks when it comes to principles.

    • everyones for sale mate dont think that clever words and deception works cause your wrong!

      • Finn says:

You miss the point; we (THFC) are saying that NOT everyone’s for sale, but Harry is at the same time sending a less than decisive message. The question is why?

        • TMWNN says:

Because as far as Modric is concerned, it’s too late to convince him to stay. He will be sold when the offer is acceptable to Levy. In the meantime, if this Granero story is true, we’re obviously looking to replace him and still have £20m left over. A lot better than just letting Modric rot.

    • Boy Charioteer says:

Months ago didn’t Harry say he wasn’t for sale for a £100,000,000?

  • Wonder if Van der Vart is the connection here and more interesting does this mean Real Madrid is the likely destination for Gareth Bale…

    I’ll wager I’m right….any takers?

I repeat my post from earlier.

In tomorrows papers we are in for…

      A good kicking, as usual.

We reeaaallly fucked the Goons off when we made them look like clowns in the CL. All those Gooner journo’s have been itching for this.

If any of this is coming from inside the club, Levy should nail their balls to the Bell & hare sign.

When a contract is signed,is it the norm to rewrite the contract every year or so ?
