SSN News Understands… £27M Bid In.

Good evening.

I’m just looking for perspective. This is because aside from being able to spot  the obvious contempt women can have for me occasionally, I know I’m not psychic.

Nasri & Fabregas for shall we say – ‘illustrative purposes’ – are fat pickings. Little or nothing left on their contracts. Berbatov’s contract had run down.

So how in the name of Allah is a Tottinghams player with the wrong end of 5 years on his contract only worth £27M? Pee off, Roman.

so basically they are saying come get a shirt with modric on the back on Sept 14…oh and the headline…”Exclusive To Spurs”

Thats good enough for me…..he’s stayin

just dont think he realizes it yet poor dear

      I dunno so much,

having the image of Modric advertising our product is “a statement of intent”, but really a canny fan won’t buy a Modric emblazoned shirt. For the few that do, the club will be able to compensate them using a very small portion of the inflated transfer fee – when the relationship is so strained the club felt the offer merited consideration and acceptance. You know, once fans have been sufficiently disgusted with the mercenary player for being a low-life rat dickhead.

So, sometime in the next 7 weeks, let’s be honest, he’s not winning the fans over right now.

  • Liam says:

Why don’t we just screw Chelski for every penny that we can get for Modric and use Niko as the creative mid-fielder. Niko is complaining that his price is too high, maybe it’s intentional as we may need him yet?

  • Chirpy says:

    1. Loan the little scroat out to a European (CL) ide and, if he doesn’t amend his ways, sell at a later date – and not to Chavski.

    2. Report Chavski

    • TMWNN says:

I like that idea, but I’ll reckon this will just drag on until we eventually sell him to Chelsea for around €38m.

We live in hope; In Levy we trust?

      • LLL says:

Pretty much think that whatever happens, Chelsea can whistle for this one, and will have to make do with that. There are other clubs who will take him, and Daniel knows that better than any of us, and he obviously despises them as much as any of us too. Who gives a crap that Modric wants to stay in London? Where is that agreement, gentlemen’s or otherwise. In that case, give him the option: it’s the continent or Orient, your choice.

Have Tottingham got problems? Does the Pope shit in the woods?
    King groin operation.
    Gallas calf injury.
    Dawson Achilles injury.
    Caulker and Khumalo on loan.
    Bassong to be sold.
Number of centre halves left: 1.
    Sign of incoming transfers: 0.

I too fear for the forthcoming season.

I just hope that Harry is up to his clandestine methods of wheeling and dealing because at the moment all I see is yet another understrength squad losing one of it’s top players, an injury list that looks like Barnet A+E on a Saturday night and the ongoing hole in our leaky defence still yet to be plugged.

    • Devonshirespur says:

jeeez….Have some fcuking faith. What do you expect, Harry & Levy to make a public announcement about players we are interested in.

Harry is slated for being too gobby and now that he is staying schtum (for once) on transfer dealings, he’s getting it in the neck again.

Lets wait and see what happens…NO ONE has done any significant dealings other than Utd who have spent on average youth, untested youth and Young, and LFC who have over paid on average youth and on a new Ankle Breakerl. City have bought a defender and Arsenal have bought an unknown striker.

  • crespur says:

Dan Levy needs to put a price on Modric. This would let the interested clubs know exactly what they need to pay and it would stop the gradual incremental increases in bids. It will also lessen the imminent flak that Levy is going to cop. A price of 40-45m and I doubt if there are going to be too many hurling abuse at the boss, and he wouldn’t lose face.

    • Chirpy says:

Except that would contradict Levy’s earlier public / official statement: that Modric is not for sale at any price.

I think they’ll be plenty hurling abuse if he is eventually sold to Chelsea, at any price.
