Good morning.
The Bale”s on the wing; The Jakes’s on the scoreboard; God’s in his Heaven – All’s right with the world…
First up I want to tackle the obvious charge that this was only Hearts and Hearts weren’t very good. Agreed that was the case. So this gives us an accurate gauge of quite how unspectacular the SPL really is. The Jambos, don’t forget are the widely regarded third best firm up there. Ouch.
Anyway. The Jam Tarts weren’t completely useless and to their credit they not only ran all night and remained determined to mount a comeback. My point being they were hard tackling and in Tottingham’s faces all night long.
Gomes -6 You make me nervous
Walker – 6.32 Lots of positives, more please
Dawson – 7.64 Every inch a captain. That’s what she said
Kaboul – 7.57 Rock solid
A&E -8 Assured and intelligent
Azza –7.58 Few trademark runs, but lots of clever little passes
Kranjcar – 8 Blimey he’s good. I doubt Arry noticed
Livermore – 8 Really decent type, a pleasure to see him in the shirt
Bale – 8.023 The mega bids in January will have many clutching their teddies
VDV – 8.024 Red hot & Dutch
Defoe – 7 The best I’ve seen him in years. More please
Hudd – 6.89 Very, very assured.
Townsend – Give him more game time, someone…
Pav – Not on for very long …I s’pose

Sky sports news just announced that Lassana Diara will be announced tonight.
Very happy!!!
Frontwheel,
I doubt that Villa are paying more than we could have done. However; I do agree that he would not have wanted to swap one bench for another
Announcement from Sky Sports: “Lassana Diara is rich and dark, just like Bournville.”
I’ll wait until I see the unveiling, my poor heart has suffered quite enough.
When we have Sandro, injury or not and Thudd, why do we need Diarra and an I the only one who wasn’t that enamoured by Livermore? He got caught out a few times, his goal made him look good and he’s still the same player that ended up dropped by every loan club he’s been to. Leeds after 3 games. Doesn’t cut it for me. Parratt is a much better option.
because diarra is better than both of them
If Diarra’s coming in, another MF is almost certainly on the way out (it’s called Lev-conomics…)
Looks like Wilson’s goner, if he passes his medical…
What a nice board this is tonight. You see,us boys can play nice. I expect it will all change when the pubs close.By then, I expect we’ll need a change. Cyberspace’s equivalent of a Friday night vindaloo.Me wanting to take LosLorenzo outside, and have him say that again. And Hartley standing behind the big bloke.
My mum says I have to come in for my tea now, but I would like to say this. As it stands, I’m quite optimistic.
Arse are fading, Chelsea are ageing-lack key players-and have an untried manager, City are not a unit, Villa are in free-fall, Sunderland are strangers, Liverpool ARE a dark horse, and Everton have just had their cash-point card taken away.
A few judicious transfers could change all of that(except Everton), but I’m quietly optimistic.
Retires to the strains of “Always look on the bright side of life.”

Frontwheel – there’s no reply button to your 8.25pm comment!! ;)
I’d just say – most of the “winnable” games that we managed to blow saw us create 20+ shots… we all know our strikers failed to fire… I just don’t think that’s HR’s fault…
Freshening things up with another striker in January would undoubtedly have helped… but, I’m not sure our failure to do so was HR’s fault, either… certainly not all his fault, anyway!! ;)
