Good evening Streetfighters.
Edmund Honda here. Whoever told me that marinated lamb ribs and ice cold imported beer aren’t fattening will soon be in receipt of a rather stiff letter. I digress.
This just in from am eagle eyed reader CoPierTonEr which frankly scans like a made up name if you ask me.
The waters have broken and Spurs have delivered their first born into this transfer window’s done cot.
His name? Joey James Iversen.
The catch? Well he’s 6 years old. Full dreadful story HERE But ‘Mom’ Anna Iversen has high hopes. In fact she is hopeful he can progress into our Acadamy (which I thought we had disbanded) as he is, ‘a natural striker’.
She continued, ‘When playing with peers, boys, do not get the second loan the ball. His team win 5-0, and he scored all the goals. Therefore, he plays mostly with older boys. Joey is high for his age, and muscular. He’s a football player’s physique, and the same powerful legs that her father, she grins.’
I feel unwell. Anyone got any donuts?
Rodallega?
Why are we shopping in the dollar bins?
Cos we’ve only got a dollar?
Worryingly in this weather we’re looking to sign Louis Saha. He’s a talented player, but in this wind and with all those crisp packets blowing about-it’s an injury waiting to happen!
We need a forward but its looking glum. Not a whisper worth mentioning.
I think it’s all down to Pav, but personally I don’t think it’s a massive problem either way as we still need to get rid of some as a priority. The strange one for me is losing Charlie, really don’t get that at all. Why can’t we at least try him at right back and use Walker pushed up if Lennon’s not 100%?
Jim,
At this price, this awkward piss-head might be worth a punt…..

Very good!
Seriously, we wait all of January to start doing these kind of deals on deadline day? Have we been quietly twisting David Moyes arm all month to prize his non-playing, non-scoring, injury prone striker from his clutch? Are bottom of the table Wigan really in a position to play hard-ball with their 2 goal (no)star striker against a bid from ‘title-chasing’ Spurs?
If either of these ‘deals’ come off I’ll be thoroughly disillusioned. I’d rather stick with exactly what we have than make this kind of improvement.
I feel exactly the same as we’ve still got players on our books that are eating away at our resources. I believe we made a profit of 500k, which is a fortnights salary for a top, top player. Come the end of May we’ll have Bentley and Jenas back on the books as well. I’d wait and see where we are in June before making any ‘big money’ moves, what’s the point otherwise?
Defoe out, Saha in.
Bloomin’ marvellous, eh?
Sounds great. Why don’t we swap Bale for Phil Neville while we’re at it?
I think the Defoe things a red herring, it’s all about Pav leaving after a bluey, not Defoe.
See Whelan whoring/tapping-up his own player out to us:

Out of contract in the Summer? Ah, didn’t know that. Makes sense now. Another bit of Levy business. Not an improvement to the team as such, but a short term investment opportunity.
