Lo Fei Gibetto De Le Mei Case

Good morning.

As I write this late last night I’m not long in from having been to watch a stand up comedian called Stewart Lee. One of the many excellent bits was him quoting from a supposed 40,000 word document comprised of bile about him collected from numerous places online.

Stew made this poignant, bitterly funny and utterly brilliant courtesy of one particular nasty rant he discovered online that revealed so much about it’s author that he recognised him as someone he had actually known very well for a short time, at one time in real life.

The blackest comedy of this blogging lark is by far the ITK. I’ve backed a few winners and the occasional non runner*. It goes with the territory and if you can barely cope with the vagaries of life then any mask you use to conceal your daily struggle with life slips in the click of a mouse.

*Benzema shirts are still available at full price from Reception

As the online designated driver of Redschnapp’s contempt I have to by rights share the dark forebodings of anyone a chap on Spurs Community who has predicted that our tight lipped supremo has less than 48 hours left in office. The poster is called Adief and he has spoken thus:

Harry will be removed at some point this weekend….
So this is clear, by monday morning H will be gone….

Ill be back monday, if this doesnt happen then the mods can ban me simple :)…this idnt rumour, this weekend he is gone!!!!

There was on response to this little bundle of joy that stood out and it came from another poster, Akquyid:

Lunch with an agent today after golf. Agent off to Vegas with some of our lot this weekend, reckons Harry’s 100% gone.

Deep breath….

It won’t be his choice either. Supposedly some senior members have been either told incoming or of the situation

Other news Ade wants to stay and his people met DL before End of season and pretty much pleaded for it to happen. Other stuff Joe Cole was highlighted by HR, Advisors of DL completely ignored, may have been one of the final straws, but no one knows.

Not really, just seems DL has finally had enough. Don’t think the whole #askarry stuff on betfair helped.

Any truth in any of this? Well, it all appears determined enough, you have to say that much for it and this Adief chap has gone as far to say he’ll willingly take a site ban if his Arry exit prediction didn’t turn out to be completely correct.

Adief’s ITK track record has been questioned. As your mother tells you, and my mother certainly told me, it is important, she always used to say, always to try new things.

if modric goes i think thud can do the same job he isnt as good in tight spaces but i think the positives out weigh the negatives. Hes good in the air scores from long range passes like glen hoddle better defensively

    • crespur says:

Hudd good in the air? he’s better at ducking and can’t jump anyway. No comparison and Modric won’t be appreciated until he is no longer in the team.

I can’t go with that Bill. Tom has scored 8 league goals in 124 games in Lilywhite. A couple of crackers against Fulham a few ago doesn’t make him a long range master. A powerful foot means little if he can’t put it on target. And Luka is very under rated in defending and certainly no worse than Tom. Tom has great long range passing, true, but his slow, slow, slowness is detrimental to a quick hitting team.

I like Tom. He has his uses. But doing Luka’s job? No, no he can’t

That is so true. People slagged off at Modric when we were going through the bad patch but his passing is a level above anyone else we have and if we lose him then next season when we are struggling to break down sides we will be lamenting his loss. He signed a five year contract. I hope Levy plays hardball and makes him stay. FFS players have to learn if they sign a five year contract they are at the club for five bloody years!

im in the the thudd camp(oh er missus). i have been really disappointed in chicken boy this year, has no one noticed the amount of goals we conceeded when modric was out of position or lost his concentration. the thudd is class at slowing down the game and put a foot on the ball(when needed) also we have to have an ‘out’ option when we are away from home and the thudd offers this with his great range of passing. we lost far too many points away from home this season, and i think this was largly down to Modric either trying to run the ball out and losing it or trying short passes that didnt come off. thud thud thud!! take the 35 millilon for chicken boy and let him do a berbatov.

    • I think Modric is a great player but he was much better when Harry played him further up the field. Many times this season he was playing alongside Parker and often Id see Modric playing behind Parker. One has to scratch their head at the fact that Modric cant tackle and Parker cant pass which didnt help either of them.
Modric is not a game changer. He just is good in moving the ball around attack, moving into a new position etc. Ive not seen too many killer passes like a Silva does week in and week out.
he has great talent but I think is dispensible if we can get over 30 mil.
Parker couldnt move up the field more but Sandro has the talent to be a box to box player and Hudd can have a go from range. We would need one more but I dont think Pienaar is capable enough….but havaent seen enough from him.

Yo haven’t considered something that in my opinion is patently obvious then? VDV’s continual inclusion has thrown up far more questions than answers. It’s VDV who has to be accommodated in the side, which means trying to get the best out of Modric by shuffling everyone else about. Without VDV we’re fluent and pacey, with him, stodgy and labouring. He scores the odd cracker, and is a class act-but only in the right team and that’s not us!

        • essexian,as far as VDV goes, yes thats probably true, but he has been a shining light when there has been darkness always seemingly scoring the goal that keeps us in it when others go AWOL.

The problem is that Parker somehow pushed up the field (can pass 10 yards max) and Modric was left to defend a lot (behind Parker)

When Modric goes forward he doesnt occupy VDV’s position,he is actually all over the place passing ,running into space and passing again. He could be on the left wing, right wing down themiddle, anywhere…

VDV maybe should have played right at the top,in the box as we were weak in that area and maybe he would get more goals and we wouldnt have to rely on him tracking back at all

        • essexian76 says:

my point is so many players have to play out of position just to put Rafa on the field. Every top notch performance we put in last season was without and had Kranjcar playing with Modric. For some obscure reason VDV seems to escape any criticism, yet it’s been an age since he actually put in a shift on any note. I’d have preferred him to go than Nico, but such is life. Hudd and Modders were a far better pairing before Rafa’s arrival. Let’s also consider that Parker is probably in his last season as a first choice def-mid, and we simply cannot afford to carry VDV for another season. On your earlier point-yes Modric does drift, but Rafa seems to want to dictate play at his pace-which stifles us in terms of pace and effectivness-as I said Newcastle and Liverpool-no Rafa-pacy and dynamic in both games but as soon as he was brought back-tippy tappy slow build up

    • UnkleKev says:

Hudd plays, we finish 4th. Hudd doesn’t play, we finish 5th.

      It’s not rocket science.

  • Razspur says:

I am the God of Hellfire and I bring you…….if we fire Harry by Monday I will put the Jubilee bunting back up and sing from the rooftops. He was never a Spur, never understood us, never deserved us, just another self-serving football parasite.

    To insanity and beyond.

  • Will says:

All I know is that I am totally sick of hearing about MU buying player after player(or supopposedly so) while we bite our nails over Modric, and general;ly f*ck around with the 1000 names of possible transfers game.
Levy is like an elephant in his dealings: you can hear the neurons crunching as he thinks and his speed is abot the same.

As for harry: I supported him until I heard that the players had absolutely NO tactical pregame preparation while the England job was dangling> IMHO he screwed up our season not Chelsea. Anyway he is 65 and we need someone with more of a future in him although NATURALLY all teh good ones have gone already.

  • Will says:

Thud instead of Modric. OMFG who said that? Thud is as moble as a heavy tank and only good at long range diagonal passing he is USELESS at running into space and the incisive short pass or quick through ball.

    • Spurstacus says:

Add to that he needs at least 30 shots before he hits one nearish the goal. Totally over rated imo.
