Tottenham Hotspur have already turned heads this summer with the £100m signing of Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, but ambitions at the club stretch far beyond that.
Under Roberto De Zerbi, Spurs are determined to avoid another relegation battle and are now pushing to add further firepower to their squad in serious fashion.
The club has been strongly linked with Bournemouth sensation Eli Junior Kroupi, a player valued at £90m who has attracted interest from PSG and Arsenal among others.
Kroupi produced a stunning debut Premier League season, scoring 13 goals for the Cherries as they secured a European berth last term.
No teenager has ever scored 13 goals in their debut Premier League season before, placing him alongside some of the most celebrated young talents in the competition’s history.
He already sits ahead of Jermain Defoe on the all-time teenage scoring list, level with Marcus Rashford, and just one goal behind Raheem Sterling in that elite company.
Daniel Sturridge, one of the most composed goalgetters of the modern era, has already hailed the teen as “one of the best finishers in the Premier League.”
Kroupi’s versatility adds further appeal, having shown the ability to operate as a second striker, a central forward, and on the left flank during his time at Lorient in 2024/25 where he scored seven goals from wide areas.
A move to Tottenham would put pressure on a host of current squad players, with Dominic Solanke, Matys Tel, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison, Xavi Simons, James Maddison, and Dejan Kulusevski all potentially concerned about their futures.
However, according to TEAMtalk, De Zerbi and the club are also ready to pursue the return of Harry Kane should the opportunity present itself.
Kane left Spurs three years ago and has since elevated his game to extraordinary heights, hailed as “the current best player in the world” by journalist Daniel Storey.
The striker scored 61 goals in 51 club appearances during 2025/26 and has added another six goals in six games at the ongoing World Cup in North America.
With 12 months remaining on his Bayern Munich contract, Barcelona have already made enquiries while Real Madrid and clubs in the Saudi Pro League are also monitoring his situation closely.
Spurs are in talks with Kane’s camp about his future in Germany, and while no official approach is currently being made, the club believe they have a genuine chance of bringing him back in a year.
Kane remains Tottenham’s greatest-ever goalscorer, and his return would represent a signing that would dwarf even the captures of Kroupi, Mateus Fernandes, and Tonali in terms of sheer magnitude.
Whoever De Zerbi lands, Tottenham’s intent under the Italian head coach is clear, and the club’s ambition this summer signals a major shift in direction for the north London side.
