Arsenal are intensifying their search for a new centre-forward and have identified Galatasaray superstar Victor Osimhen as a serious target this summer.

The Gunners are not alone in their pursuit, with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also monitoring the Nigeria international’s situation closely.

Despite interest from multiple Premier League clubs, none of the three sides have yet submitted a formal offer to Galatasaray for the 27-year-old striker.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli in 2025 on a four-year contract, leaving the Turkish champions in a commanding negotiating position.

The forward’s contract runs until 2029, meaning Galatasaray have little incentive to sell unless an enormous financial proposal lands on their table.

Osimhen has continued his prolific form in Turkey, scoring 61 goals in just 75 matches across all competitions since his arrival.

His goals have contributed directly to Galatasaray winning the Super Lig twice and the Turkish Cup, cementing his status as one of the world’s most dangerous forwards.

Reports indicate that Osimhen’s name has come up during discussions between Arsenal and Galatasaray, with the Turkish club reportedly holding interest in both Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri.

Arsenal’s pursuit of a striker comes despite spending £64 million on Viktor Gyokeres last summer, suggesting the club remain unsatisfied with their current attacking options.

The Gunners’ primary target remains Julián Álvarez, but the Argentine has made clear to Atlético Madrid that Barcelona is his preferred destination.

Atlético Madrid are also demanding upwards of €200 million for Álvarez, making that particular deal extremely difficult for Arsenal to pursue.

With the Álvarez route looking increasingly complicated, Arsenal are reportedly sounding out alternatives, and Osimhen fits the profile of the elite finisher Mikel Arteta’s side are seeking.

One report has suggested that Manchester United no longer hold active interest in Osimhen, which could leave Arsenal with clearer ground to advance their pursuit.
