Arsenal are reportedly showing serious interest in Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz ahead of a busy summer transfer window.

Turkish outlet Fanatik has reported that the Gunners have their sights set on landing the 26-year-old in the coming weeks.

Arsenal are expected to strengthen their left wing department significantly this summer, with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli potentially heading for the exit door.

Journalist David Ornstein recently confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis, and Fanatik report the club are also keen on Yilmaz.

There is described as “serious” interest in the Turkish international, with Arsenal reportedly able to sign him for a fee of £43 million.

Galatasaray, however, are believed to want to bring in AC Milan’s Rafael Leao as a replacement for the lesser fee of £35 million if a deal is struck.

Yilmaz contributed 12 goals and 16 assists for Galatasaray in all competitions last term, though just 11 of those goal involvements came from the left wing position.

He was noted to be more effective as a striker or from the right wing, which raises questions about his suitability for Arsenal’s specific requirements on the left flank.

Arsenal have already opened talks with Brugge over Tzolis, who had a remarkable season in Belgium, contributing 22 goals and 29 assists in all competitions from the left side of the frontline.

The former Norwich City man is 24 years old and considered to be entering the prime of his career, making him an attractive option for the Gunners.

Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers has also been identified as a potential marquee target, with Unai Emery’s side likely to demand more than £100 million for the 23-year-old Englishman.

Rogers delivered 26 goal contributions last campaign and has shown his quality in high-pressure fixtures, proving himself as a genuine top-level option on the left wing.

Arsenal are reported to have the funds available and could be prepared to break their transfer record if a suitable deal can be reached for Rogers.
