Redschnapps, Gallas, Mickey Hazard, you name ’em… their appears to be a Tottinghams related punter on the end of every microphone in the country tipping us to win everything from Britain’s Got Gout to the Champions League itself.
Spurs have more form than Shergar when it comes to doing really well then completely failing to show up.
Liverpool arrive on a high – having beaten West Ham with some confidence last week – but my feeling is that their remission is a false one. Weight is added to my argument by the fact they are supposedly fielding Joe Cole. What a close shave that was.
My belief is that we will do them. But they will be a damn sight more difficult to break down if will pull the same stunt we did against The French and allow ourselves to go one or two down. We need to be up and at ’em from the off.

In the premier league the defence is doing fine.
After 15 EPL games last season
scored 35 conceded 21
After 15 EPL games this season
scored 23 conceded 20
So despite all the injuries and missing King and Woody and Dawson we have conceded less than last season which was a great season.
What is the problem with a defence conceding less goals than last season?

I was looking at the stat which has us letting more in than anybody above us in the table. you’re right though, we’re tottenham, damnit, and we should score more.

Yes emspurs I think it is the CL games that look different cos we do score and concede a fair few there.
But in the Premier League I think this is the fewest goals we have ever conceded at this stage. Does not tell everything but considering the injuries it is very good going.
Agree we should definitely be scoring more and the strikers are wasting chances left and right.
Maybe make PSB penalty coach. Then sell in January.

Bale is our superstar and should be paraded out for every PK the remainder of his career at the Lane. If he had taken every one this season, he would have 15+ goals now and perhaps making a serious run at world footballer of the year.
