Both Goals …And Thank God For Levy

This was another game that the Tottinghams of old would have found cause to botch in some way. Roughty toughty northerners showing up on your doorstep looking for bother, a chill in the air. No thank you missus.

Cheatski’s demise at the hands of The French will have undoubtedly cause ripples of delusional grandeur at the Emptycrates, but Arsenal have yet to beat anyone good. For the first time in a long time we sit fourth and actually look worth every penny.

Arry was interesting on Talksport after the game. Essentially he confirmed the interest in Scott Parker and the fact that the Porn Barons don’t want to sell him. But better still was the comment that Levy & Co are keen, yes keen to get in a player that will ‘make the difference’ and underline the achievements so far.

This is bloody good news. The Champions League foray has been a runaway success with the filthy loot having to be shoveled into the vaults as the value of ‘the brand’ soars. I know I’m in the minority in embracing the Stratford move, but the contrast between the silky, free scoring Lilywhites and the odious Primark Massive is stark.

In this day and age when you have chicken magnates sacking football managers it’s a huge, huge asset to a club when the Director has the intelligence and foresight that Levy has.

Tottingham Hotspur. The 10 men specialists. Here’s both goals and I’m still looking for the headbutt.

BIOYC!

The hectician, a man who lives at home with Mummy and Daddy, cos that’s where he’s always lived, it’s traditional innit? Still, it’s a little crowded now he’s married with the kids an all, but then they live with his wife’s mother cos there’s no room since the council rejected his application for an extension cos the buses couldn’t cope with the extra passengers and TFL wanted to put up the fares. Even though he offered to polish the brass on the water trough and sell Tesco a bit of the garden for a grocery. It’s a bit far from work too and that swanky new place in Stratford has everything a growing family could ask for with travel links on the doorstep, and its cheaper. It ain’t got no history has it and some of his mates might never talk to him again, except of course unless he continues to get those package tours to europe, buys flash new gadgets and starts having parties and getting out the silver. ;-)

wherever we go we will be building the stadium to the plans we’ve had approved. just at stratford it will be bigger with room to expand. Unlike N17.

I believe the WHL proposal can be as big as we want judging by the overall size of the site but I do not understand how any serious Spurs fan can think moving to Stratford is in any way a good thing.

If it doesn’t matter where we are based why not hire Wembley or build something in a green field by the side of the M25 or take over MK Dons ?

If you know your history, you should understand why the vast majority of Spurs supporters want nothing to do with a move away from the area.

Thankfully, you Stratford lovers are a small minority.

You might find that there are not that many who actually care for tottenham as an area but would walk through Walls for the shirt. This is just another episode in our long and glorious history. If it happens, it happens. Get used to it and grab a muggachino of harden the fuck up? COYS!!!! Oh and I have been spurs since 1980 when I was 5 and old enough to know that I could not support the same team as my old man.

        • m says:

          ‘Just another episode’?

In a game that has been hijacked by commercialism, it’s the only link left with ‘our long and glorious history’.

        • onedavemackay says:

It’s nothing to do with hardening up, as you put it, but all to do with having a connection with our history. Something you obviously lack.

      • Harry Hotspur says:

Yeah but you are ignoring the cost, old girl. If we stay in N17 then you better hope all our Acadamy lads blossom. Because we won’t be buying anyone for about 5 years.

        • onedavemackay says:

3 or 4 years ago we were something like the 2nd or 3rd biggest spenders in the Prem and doing zilch. Then Arry arrived and relatively speaking has not spent much but the team has thrived. It isn’t all about money and whether or not Citeh are successful teams will continue to win things without being bankrolled by some outside source.

  • m says:

If Levy had signed a half decent striker in the summer, it would have hardly been ‘foresight’ as anyone can see all our strikers are dire. We would be top of the league however.

I’ll wait to see where we end up at the end of the season rather than handing out the accolades half way through.

  • The hectician says:

Feel a bit tight actually, sorry if I was offensive. I live up the road from the lane and thought of us leaving actually depresses me. Happy new year and COYS!!

    • Harry Hotspur says:

You didn’t say anything too offensive. I do love the sound of my own voice.

I don’t want to leave WHL. But if we want to be better than we are then the only way to stay is to bury the locals in gold.

I know my history, but I don’t know any of these sponging wankstains and at £250M they’re asking for too much ‘lucky money’.

Stratford? No thanks, but I’d play in Scotland rather than have my pocket picked.
