Both Goals …And Thank God For Levy

Image for Both Goals …And Thank God For Levy

This was another game that the Tottinghams of old would have found cause to botch in some way. Roughty toughty northerners showing up on your doorstep looking for bother, a chill in the air. No thank you missus.

Cheatski’s demise at the hands of The French will have undoubtedly cause ripples of delusional grandeur at the Emptycrates, but Arsenal have yet to beat anyone good. For the first time in a long time we sit fourth and actually look worth every penny.

Arry was interesting on Talksport after the game. Essentially he confirmed the interest in Scott Parker and the fact that the Porn Barons don’t want to sell him. But better still was the comment that Levy & Co are keen, yes keen to get in a player that will ‘make the difference’ and underline the achievements so far.

This is bloody good news. The Champions League foray has been a runaway success with the filthy loot having to be shoveled into the vaults as the value of ‘the brand’ soars. I know I’m in the minority in embracing the Stratford move, but the contrast between the silky, free scoring Lilywhites and the odious Primark Massive is stark.

In this day and age when you have chicken magnates sacking football managers it’s a huge, huge asset to a club when the Director has the intelligence and foresight that Levy has.

Tottingham Hotspur. The 10 men specialists. Here’s both goals and I’m still looking for the headbutt.

BIOYC!

Interesting post match interview with our ‘arry, big Dzeko hints dropped. Is this a blind to wind citeh up? Levy & ‘arry are a right pair of fuckers – probably talking up Dzeko to force citeh’s hand so they can close the deal they really want.

ODM – what did you think of Carroll?

    • Harry Hotspur says:

I think that Dzeko has said that he’s staying put until the summer. But this could be a smokescreen. Or a lie. Or indeed just Babelfish at it’s finest.

      • jfdit says:

I think levy has looked at how we’ve done which I must say ain’t shabby by any means and thought let’s go for it. Modders & VDV must have wetted his appetite for more world class players?

We are still in contention despite our injuries and extra games played.

I think we will buy someone young star with sell on value i.e. a long term view. Carroll fits the bill so does Rossi @ villareal.

    • Onedavemackay says:

Carroll did nothing today but based on what I’ve seen before
      he’s got some potential

      • jfdit says:

just watching manure, that berbatwat would’ve been a great buy to team up with VDV would he?

        • Onedavemackay says:

He would. I’m hoping VDV can get one of his striker mates to join us.

just watching the highlights, the cartoon army can keep their latest woman beating messiah – he’s no better than what we’ve already got.

Referee – WTF – where do they dig these useless wankers up from?

Kaboul was a bit mad – that tiote needed sorting out though, if we want to win league we’ll need to cope with these kick, foul and rush teams. They are just like wimbledon of old – relegation fodder at best

        • onedavemackay says:

They were kicking the shit out of us from the off. Barton was not only over physical but his mouth was in overdrive as well but the ref did nowt. Then, following an injury, Barton was given a ‘free’ drop ball. Instead of doing the usual and just punting it towards Gomes he hammered it towards our corner flag so we had to take a throw in deep in our half.

He is a disgrace and if the FA were more than a bunch of money grabbing amateurs they would ban vermin like Barton.

Anyone know where we can watch repeat streams? why no match of the day tonight?
Fantastic goals from our wingers today, wish Lennon would have a bit more confidence in his finishing!

  • jerkinmahjurgen says:

I know now for certain that I don’t want Carroll playing for us. Definitely a ‘typical English center-forward’. I wouldn’t want that type of thug up front. What with Barton and Smith they’re a bit Wimbledon, aren’t they? A Big Well Done to the Spurs lads, anyway. Brilliant again!

  • The hectician says:

Call yourself a spurs fan and you wanna leave the lane for Stratford? Seriously? Some faceless souless stadium in a random part of town, rather than our own beauty, recently approved and ready to go? What are you talking about. Always thought you liked the sound of your own voice a bit too much Harry and I can’t remember the last interesting article you wrote, but that nonsense right there means I’m clearly not interested in anything you have to say ever again.

We are Tottenham from THE LANE.

    • A_Felching says:

Why comment then, it doesn’t matter where we play it is all about the shirt

    • Snap says:

Some faceless souless stadium in a random part of town? No, that same recently approved stadium, but bigger, cheaper (= bigger player fund) in new venue with better transport links than any other UK stadium. Fans come to our ground, watch game and depart. Only diversion is a pint and a kebab. New venue will have biggest shopping centre and sports complex in UK, plenty of lager fountains and for you we could arrange the biggest UK kebab shop.

    • Bobbles says:

      Yawn.

  • melcyid says:

we only need ten men to beat most teams, with bale ,bale, bale, lennon upfront vdv and modders behind invincible.
