I just don’t see it and more to the point, if it did happen it would be a bad thing.
Spurs undoubtedly have a striker problem. Some might say, ‘when haven’t they?’ But Carroll to me simply doesn’t fit the bill. He’s Crounchinho with muscles, Barren Dent with brain. He’s an uberfit Mido. He’s the antiYid.
It’ll be Alan Pardew’s last act as the Toon manager when Carroll is sold, but why oh why are we linked with a guy who excelled in the Championship? We’re on our way now. Let’s please try and swerve players who look like bin men. I mean, look at that Raphael chap, he could model fur coats. The boy just oozes class.

Nope you are wrong. A striker like Carroll is what Spurs need most.
Unlike our current wasteful strikers Carroll would score for fun with Bale/Lennon crossing and Luka/Rafa threading passes through.
But don’t you worry because us signing Carroll is as likely as us changing our strip to red for the rest of the season. Barcodes want £20m and we are offering 50p and an orange. Not gonna happen.
50p and an orange would be less of an insult than Bentley Keane Krancjar (great player by the way) and a big bag of Harrys unpaid taxes. At least then we would know that you wer not serious. Niko Kranjcar is a great player and when he finds a home will be as good as van der Vaart. The other two you can have for free though.
We have the best attacking midfield in the Premiership but our strikers fluff their lines over and over. Scoring plenty with that kind of service would be a piece of piss for Carroll.
Clubs rarely make official approaches like we have unless the player is clearly interested so it looks like Carroll is interested in the move and Harry is too. But like I said I doubt Ashley and Levy will ever see eye to eye regarding the fee which will probably kill the deal in the end.
