Despite being acknowledged as the planet’s numero uno Tottenham blogger, it gives me little pleasure to share with with football fans this disturbing snap of a man regarded by millions dozens of devoted vaguely interested Arsenal fans as a modern day legend getting some textual ecstasy.

Good call IAB, truth be known the club is a business and like a bank deciding on branch closures, its the Boards opinion of the businesses best interests that will determine the outcome not the opinions of the tellers.

Likewise, whilst I’ve had my days at the Lane, I still consider myself a supporter (merchandise etc) despite living in Sydney. What is the actual fan base? Certainly more than 36,000 and the majority of the fan base really don’t care apart from some vague emotional or group attachment to somewhere they wouldn’t know if they saw it!

Its about the team and the performances and the manner of those performances and right now we have a week and a bit left to equip ourselves for the run in to May.

I have no idea who we might get as a Striker and even if we looking at more than the one. I get the feeling that the obvious targets like Suarez and Fabiano are non starters and that we’ll likely be looking for a breaking talent in the 23/24 years old range or an ageing campaigner who has not yet completely faded.

PNR sounds good, tho’ another midfielder seems surplus: at the price I’m guessing it was too good to pass up.

I must say tho’ that the window is getting more and more boring at every opening until the last 48 hours when all hell breaks loose…….cut the crap and make it a two day event!

Whilst the sentiment is in the right place for those who are especially nostalgic to whl, I think people like myself who have never been to watch a game – believe that moving for the greater good is making history.
Its furthering our club into the greater and beyond.
Its moving to survive, its outgrown its area. Like a relationship. Haringey could keep up.
The current history will never die. I’m sure they will deck the halls of the stratford stadium with the same memorabilia they have at whl now.

Our children will thank us and they will too (hopefully) experience great players wearing our ever changing shirt and gracing the field of play wherever it may be.
And they will look back at this and say that this moment, this year is their history.
    Change is growth.
    Embrace and rejoice.

50,000 here or 60,000 there would still thank you. There isn’t a fine line we’d need to qualify to tip the balance into success, where we’d kick ourselves and go “Damn, but for that extra 10,000 and those meddling kids”.

I don’t think anyone is being straight with anyone and even if we get preferred status, I want to see us exhaust every avenue before slinking off into the setting (Eastward sun) & bolting the Bill Nick gates for the last time.

Yes, there is emotion for me associated with sitting so close to the pitch I can smell the grass but it’s more than that. Amongst all the waffle on the other page there was a comment that made me laugh when the aspiring journo said “If we did win the cup playing at Stratford, where would we have our open top bus ride… Bow? Mile End?” It’s a little point but it makes you think about where home is.

Hmmmm. My uneasy bone just got uneasier.

So if we move to Stratford why do we have to be called Stratford Hotspur. Why not London Spurs.
    Think of the great songs.

We are London. We are London. Super London. From London.

There’s only one team called London. One team called London.
