Bolton Indoors, Just Like That…

It’s like a Tommy Cooper trick. That one where he attempts to pull the table cloth from beneath the laid table without the stuff on the table being disturbed. It could go either way. But you know the result will leave you smiling wryly and rolling your eyes.

Will Sir David’s tips on how to consistently hit 3MP’s coconut win us a goldfish in a bag? Can the sleeping midget gem that is the boy Defoe spring to life and show just the pace and rapier shot required to unlock Owen Coyle’s back four?

I dunno. What I do know is that Coyle has performed miracles at t’Reebok. Elmander for one is a player that has literally been ‘unchained’ under the new regime. That said, Bolton’s form has dipped of late and as for their away form – it is the worst in the Premiership. They’ve lost 5 out of their last 6.

Gout at The Lane has spread like wildfire. Very few have had the conviction to drink in moderation. So let us salute those still standing, ready to defend the Tottinghams, it’s heritage and ‘Dare To Fail’.

Spurs to go bonkers and win 3-0 is 12/1. 3Mp to score 2 or more is 15/2. VdV to score the first in a 2-0 win is my fave and beer bonanza at 20/1. Bet365 are matching any deposit up to £2oo nicker!

As Hary likes to keep pointing out about Crouch and his endless assits for VDV’s goals, was a little suprised not to hear him gushing with praise for Pav’s lovely weighted pass/flick into Krankie’s path for the goal……

It seems harry’s decided that professionalism is for people who aren’t him. I think the whole striker selection thing comes down to this (ie he picks the players he likes, not the ones that help the team).

Mmmm, not so sure about that. He’s shown that he’ll switch things like Charlie/Hutton but also let a good player play themselves into form, like he did with Lennon.

In terms of helping the team, I don’t think Pav does that if he starts. He doesn’t hold the ball up and goes over way too easy, losing possession and catching our wingers out of position.

If you play Lennon & Bale & have full backs overlapping, the last thing you need is to get caught in possession.

Pav comes to the fore later in the game when the oppo defence tires and he can run at them & exploit spaces – Having sadi all that, I would like to see him come on earlier and get at least half hour to do his thing.

Fair points. Other than persistence with Crouch, and perhaps slighting nico, I think Harry’s selection has been on the whole quite good. I was really just looking to complain and then you had to respond with your “logic” and “analytical thinking”. Still, I’ll complain anyway.

I think it’s less his selection policy athan Harry’s general attitude that ruffles, for me at least. Whether it’s selection, talking to the media, tactics, the transfer market, comments about players, in no way does he ever come off like a professional who’s getting paid to do a job. It’s all this old geezer, in for scott parker cause he’s a good lad, crouchy’s such a trier, pav doesn’t speak english, triffic top top player garbage. It’s grated on me from the beginning, but it’s extra irritating when the club is at such a tipping point.

          So there.

A man has been rushed to hospital after bizarre sex game went wrong and left him with six toy horses up his arse. Doctors have described his condition as ‘stable.’

  • Fatfish says:

Pav could be a good bargaining chip as a makeweight for several other strikers in the summer.

Scored goals in PL, CL and at international level. Probably worth £15 – £20 in current market. he may be an attractive proposition for clubs like Athletico Madrid, Villareal etc in part exchange + cash for their strikers. Only one it would work for is Llorente at Bilbao who play only Basque players.
