New Kit Manufacturer Named

Morning,

According to Michael Steele a Bloomberg bloke, Under Armour will be suppliers to the Tottinghams come 2012.

Mixed reaction from me. This news will send a chill down the spine of those supporters who had ‘issues’ with Kappa kits. If you thought their stuff was a neat fit, Under Armour goods aren’t displayed on a coat hanger, they come in can.

The other question I would raise is why aren’t we going for a truly household name like Adidas or Nike? I’d be staggered if Levy & Co give a stuff about ‘individuality’ and this has more to do with the bottom line.

We’ll be told of course about all the technical benefits (techie fans you’ll love this stuff) and how in 10 years time they’ll all be wearing it. Mmn.It would take me 10 years of going to the gym to get one of these bar stewards on.

Here’s their homepage.

I care little whether you all jump on me, as I care little for the Arse, but having just watched the game I would have preferred to have seen the issue decided in Barca’s favour, as it had every likelihood of being, without the referee’s gratuitously unnecessary involvement.

That’s that. Now it’s up to the lads to keep their heads tomorrow/today, to play with discipline and flair, and to lay down a marker which says: WE HAVE COME TO STAY AND DON’T YOU FORGET IT!

It was an odd sending off, but as the Arse had zero shots and about 30% possession at that point I doubt it made a lot of difference.

      Besides, it’s funny cuz it’s Ars@#al.

You are right about the statistics. Which is exactly why one wanted to see the Arse at full strength. I laughed anyway. But how I would have roared and yelled, jumped and somersaulted (well, tried to) had they gone down the usual way.

No big deal, just a little one…

their quality is of the highest….as a designer i hope they get all the balance right in the colour (no sky blue and the third black )and logos and flashes are cool…raise the kit sales and look for the fans is their goal…..they have a chance with our club to prove themselves…..but they may need to do the research on british culture rather than look german football ….make a classic !

    • Astromesmo says:

Hmm, some of the German stuff can be a bit hit and miss – Like the neon away kits – But the German national shirt itself has always been a kit classic… Apart from maybe that odd one in USA 94 that looked like someone had mixed the material up with a bad set of curtains.

Fair play to Puma, they finally got it right this year with the retro one but hopefully the new boys will go for the heritage and try to do something traditional before they go fancy dan.
