Mornin’.

Woodys out! Not the war cry of a receptionist at a military themed bordello, but a player injury update.

Difficult to feel much about this anymore. THFC are adamant that he’s not finished. I wish I shared their blind optimism. I’d love to know what they base this on. I hope he returns. I also hope to one day own a fleet of Rollers.

Anyway, not much else about today but as a fully paid up of the Super Roman Cravypavinchenko Fan Club it would be remiss of me not to share this. It was more of a dog to find than footage of Woody in this season’s shirt.

So I raise the question – if Arshavin was to become surplus to requirement would you consent to his signature at The Lane? My take is this: Yes under Jose or A. N. Other foreign coach, but under Arry there would be no spark and he’d be worse for us than he has been for them.

And they will be able to shout at each other in Russian. They are a pair…obvious really

Arry would rip his own eyes out in frustration trying to get through to those two. If he even bothered.

What’s Russian for ‘feed him and he will score’?

Looks like we have spit the dummy over the Olympic Stadium; why we would do that I can’t imagine unless of course there’s a case for claiming back some costs or the potential to find a premise which might allow cooler heads to get a second chance to bail out of getting into bed with some of the world’s ugliest fans and sleaziest directors.

Nonetheless I wonder why with the run in and quarter finals of the CL we are creating distractions, unless its to cut some slack to the squad to prpare whilst the harpies of the media rip some other issue to shreds.

Sad to hear Niko K. still wants out tho’ I can hardly blame him. Harry’s promises are free-flowing, but his delivery in terms of pitch time are somewhat more meagre. For me its a mystery. especially when we buy Pienaar who, whilst filling a slightly different role, seemed superfluous with Niko there. We have also had runs of injuries where you’d think he’d get a go but he’s been frozen out despite the thunderous plaudition for HR about his talent, attitude and work rate; all factors that seem to be the bedrock criteria he wants from everyone else.

Does HR think we’ve outgrown Niko? Would we now replace hime with someone better? If so, who? Bothe Bale and VdV are injury prone and they are the positions he’s cover, he clearly has a good working relationship with Modric as proved by his International contributions and one might argue for that combination to be tried more rigorously over some others.

Regardsless, I think we will lose a classy player come summer and that’s a real shame when we see Defoe wasting the stadiums air supply.
