Real Madrid In The Champions League Draw

Good Greebling,

As the time of writing we are merely a hop, skip and guaranteed beyond tedious address from UEFA away from knowing who we’ll face in the quarter finals of the competition.

For those just visiting this planet – the names in the hat other than us are, Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Shakattack Don’tAsk, and FC Shalke 04.

The ties pulled today will be played on 5/6 and 12/13 April. With the semi-finals taking place on 26/27 April and 3/4 May. The 2010/11 UEFA Champions League Final will be held on Saturday 28 May at Wembley Stadium KO 20.45hrs.

Nobody is making up the numbers here. Jose is looking to achieve something extraordinary and win the competition with three different clubs.  Quite simply, ‘wow’ Don’tAsk are a different side to the one we met in what was the UEFA and what I’ve seen of them would really inspire me if I was a supporter.

Inter came back from behind to beat FC Bayern Munich to get here and that to me is them having already played one quarter final. FC Shalke did the same to Valencia and underlined the fact that they have won all of their home games so far in the tourney.

I don’t fancy Real. I think there are better equipped sides in this to dismantle them and it would also require us to wear that dreadful, jinxed, bad news in blue away kit.

Should we exit mid April, it would be duller than house dust if it were at the hands of a Premiership side.

Bring on Barca. The outcome of that tie would genuinely define our Champions League run and whatever the outcome, we’d be spared a Steward’s enquiry. This is all about scalps and positioning ourselves for the next steps onwards. We’re building here. So let’s be bold and in the solemn words of Alan Latchley, ‘Dare to fail’.

We need the big Man Hudds to come back fit and hit these Spanish ARMADOR right below the water line with a Hudderbolt missile and sink the fuckers. Then he can help us beat the mighty midgets Duracell Bunnies with 6ft7 Crouch nodding in his rocket free kicks Bale on the end of is chips over the top of Barcas high line defending Bring it on Inter in the Final anyone Chow.

Nervous, excited and happy with the draw, on one hand we have had the hardest draws in all rounds so far but, the other hand we have proven a point to the rest of Europe and Real Madrid will fear us. We should go into this with no fear and enjoy it, play with freedom and make them in awe of our pace and skill.
    COYS, BIOYC!

    Wow.

Glory be. Either go out in a blaze of, or take it.

    Real Madrid. Perfect. BIORYDC!

No prizes for deciphering that. Not from me anyway – two winners on Wednesday is gift enough :freu

    But feel free to try.

One match ban for Joe Jordan for his part in the Gattuso incident(s).

Absolute joke – another sign of UEFA’s clear anti-English club agenda. Gattuso should have had at least an 8 game ban (in light of Drogba’s 6 game ban for verbally abusing an official). It absolutely stinks.

On the plus side, Bin Hammam is challenging Blatter at FIFA – although I can see dirty Jack Warner swinging it in favour of Blatter, as his group vote as a block – thats 35 out of 209 votes I think. the sooner that vermin Blatter is out, the better!
