Two immediate thoughts from me. One is that these Azza having an insatiable attraction with the north tales – hot footing it up there at weekends etc – have been doing the rounds for the last few years and nothing has ever come of them.
The second thing is that the two stories to have emerged in the past week or so are the one about a Man Utd mega bid for Modders and this one. What I understand is that the Modders one is true, but the player is extremely unlikely to entertain it and the Azza Blud one is just made up cobblers.
Let’s hope this is the case, eh?

What happens to players like Keane – before he joined his boyhood heroes (#1) he scored loads of goals created chances, shouted and pointed a lot.
Now he just points and shouts and even that’s on the wane. He’s only about 30 – it puzzles me how he has become so crap so quickly – is it just down to confidence?

It’s down to not playing every week, some players have to to be any good, others can come on and take an opportunity.
Really can’t see why Carlo Cudicini can’t just become our first choice goalkeeper. Gomes is too much of a liability for a team with high aspirations. In the games Carlo has started recently, he has made a couple of world class saves and hasn’t, you know, thrown the ball in the net three minutes later.
I believe he’s out of contract at the end of June. I would have thought he would have been offered another year if we wanted to keep him.
