Rossi ITK Is Cobblers

According to some bloke called Fernando Roig.

Just found this quote and thought I’d share it. Not that it gives me any pleasure to see us linked with third hand motors like Asamoahwotsisname, it’s just I find some ITK’s tedious.

If you have something to share, just get on with it and share it and stop acting like an attention seeking child. Bap my butt.

Oh yes, Fernando Roig is the President Of Villa Real.

“Talks have not [happened] here, and we have not [received] offers from any club. The player is on vacation. [As] I said he wants to be here, [he is] happy, and wants to stay,”

Rossi] is a key player, is an important player and therefore the club has him and his goals for next season [in mind]. We face a great year and [will] do it with the same enthusiasm as always. We will make an effort to have better equipment and [be] more competitive to cope with all three competitions.”

Roig was talking to Marca.com

Yes, and you are one to comment because your info is so good. Benzema sure did bang in a lot of goals for us last year. Prick.

    • Harry Hotspur says:

You seem quite overwrought Jim. Everything alright at home?

    • onedavemackay says:

Maybe you don’t get out much Jim but let me tell you that not all deals go through and our league has a history of ‘signings’ that collapsed for a variety of reasons such as failing fitness tests not agreeing personal terms etc.

Sir Harold’s story on Benzema was serious. At the time Benzema was out of favour at Real Madrid so a move or loan was always a possibility. Then the first choice HiguaĆn got injured. Any club with half a brain would have a get out clause in any loan deal to allow for a unexpected need for the player concerned. Which is probably what happened here.

The real question is, should a responsible blogger (which I can assure you HH is) completely ignore any information until it’s flagged up on the club website or should he pass on stuff that he feels is a ‘real’ (pardon the pun) story ?

      • Jim says:

I guess that is my point. HH wants to post rumours that he gets from his “sources” (read: COYS and SC) to generate traffic to his site and not be held accountable when it does not come to fruition. Yet he wants to attack a gentleman who actually has reliable information before it is proven incorrect. A tad hypocritical, no? Thus, the prick comment stands.

        • Harry Hotspur says:

Jim the very fact you can’t stop calling me a prick reflects you are a bedwetter.

When my love, the source is one in the publice domain I tell you. When it ain’t and it’s not of benefit to the source, I do not.

Also… When an ‘ITK’ makes a claim I want it in fecking English. Or Korean. Or Serbo Croat. I don’t do nursery rhymes. If an ‘ITK’ says ‘Nailed On Rossi Signed!’ I’m the last guy to gloat. As ODM says, things change. You heard of divorce? People change their fecking minds.

‘ITK’s ought to be encouraged. If you scream, laugh and point at everybody that is ‘seen’ as getting things wrong then folk are actively discouraged from coming forward.

Like playing for England Jim. Everyone’s injured or retired because they don’t need the grief from ambulance chasing crackerheads like you.

So 3-2-1 and we’re back in the room. The President. Not a tea lady. The President of Villa Real says ‘No bids’ I’m inclined to take that over some nursery rhyme merchant.

You do what you want, but if I were you – and thanks be to the sweet Lord I’m not and I don’t have to place a protective sheet over my mattress at night – I’d have a quick review of how valid my point was and just who the attention seekers are in all this.

Ain’t me and it don’t look much like The Prez either.

we haven’t even got rid of bentley yet so we could be waiting for a while for signings unless free which might be up in july

i wonder which strikers will survive, you have to assume keano will leave, maybe we will keep the others with this young brasilian because we just can’t afford it unless they are free or until the last week when people start to panic buy our deadwood

This is my post from yesterday, with the link this time.

Looking good for a player from the Academy. Give him a chance pre-season, I say.

    • MysteriousStranger says:

      Fail number 2.

Ignore all the bullshit, delete up to earthquakes.

      • MysteriousStranger says:

That way you’ll at least see:

San Jose pleased with British import Simon Dawkins
Tottenham Hotspur product Simon Dawkins is providing a needed boost to the San Jose offense.

Seems like the MercuryNews website is made of a different kind of cheese to this one.

        • MysteriousStranger says:

In all seriousness, either he’s a late developer (23 yrs old, we let him go once before, gave him a contract to loan him out almost immediately to our US “partner club”), or he’s not up to the grade – that is, our grade and not some poor MLS club’s grade.

At least Harry Kane scored for Leyton Orient!

About the best we could hope for is he’s a late developer, but “he’s not up to the grade” is so much more likely.

      • Fatfish says:

        My link works fine.

        • MysteriousStranger says:

          It does now!

I did think, at least you remembered the link this time, then was dismayed to see it not working at the time. Really must have been the MercuryNews’ version of a site made of cheese.

Anyway, it is a nice feelgood article, about an injury-prone lad trying to make it to the top. Stil hard to have much expectation in him though, even if being prone to injuries seems to be a requirement to make it into our squad!

  • Fatfish says:

    Ok, I promise I won’t f#ck this link up (there isn’t one.

Just been watching Martin Tyler’s 5 players to watch preview of the Euro U21 tournament.

One of them was some 19 year old Czech Republic striker called Tomas Pekhart, scored 9 goals in qualifying.

Another one we let go too early?

    • MysteriousStranger says:

We let Crouch go when he was young too. He should have stayed gone though!

Recall he had an injury (was it a broken leg? can’t remember) and then didn’t set the world alight when we loaned him out to Southampton, then loaned him back to his old club before eventually selling him in Jan 2010.

Obviously Redknapp’s esteemed scouts must have paid close attention to him whilst he was still out on loan ;-)

He’s been banging them in for fun since then it seems, and is off to Nuremburg now who signed him last week. Perhaps we should have given him “the Dawkins treatment”.

But he’s 22 now btw (not 19), so he’s one of these guys whose eligible as he was u-21 when the qualifiers started I expect.

  • notsohotspurs says:

Seems this transfer window is going to be the same as many previous years. Hundreds of players linked, loads of bids ‘turned down’ alledgedly. Top top clubs sniffing around our best players, Modric bidding war anyone ? Bet Levy is rubbing his hands together with that one.

Can see us losing Modric at the end of the window withLevy doing his usual bargain basement bullshit again. Same old Spurs.

    Total BS.

    • onedavemackay says:

There are no advantages to selling Modric, however much we might get. As if he’s worth 45 million how much would it cost to replace him and who is that replacement ?

Levy wants CL football and a new stadium and neither are sustainable without top players. He knows that and I am sure he would rather have Modders at the club than the money in the bank.
