Guten Abend.

I think my slow burn admiration for Levy & Co may well get me nicked for pyromania.

Courtesy of our boy Danny Kelly on talkSPORT, our Chairman has drawn a line in the N17 sand that I can only coo over,

“It’s not about the money and he understands our position. We are not selling our best players.”

Just a quickie – to give new readers the merest of glimpses into my private life – when was the last time someone like Levy was ever prepared to ‘wind down his Range Rover window and give quotes to the press?

Gotta lurve ‘im!

    I agree Mr Spiggott
It will never be the same again, bit like PSB coming back, sell the cunt, (not to Chelsea) and move on.
Can you imagine Ossie doing this, different times better men.

Levy can’t go back on his earlier statement, he’d never be taken seriously again.

He’s Daniel Levy, Our Daniel Levy, He’s only happy at White Hart Lane…….He told them Cheating Chelski scumbags that they’ll never take our Modric away…..Na na na na na….Na na na na na….Na na na na na….Na na na na etc etc

To the tune of the infamous MC Hammer hit…

“Oh – oh, Oh -oh, Chelll-sea, U Cant Touch This”

Every time Modders does something special/has the ball when we’re 3-0 up etc.

That way we celebrate/compliment the player still playing for us, and indirectly praise Levy at the same time for telling these clubs to do one, and telling Modric he’s staying.

Kills all the birds, everyone knows said track, would work in a basic terrace chant style!

Check me out showing my positive side :freu

So, here’s to hoping Luka doesn’t Berbasulk his way through til Christmas. That’s more like me

you actually make a very very good point (god that is painful to admit MS  ) .

Modric; however hard it might be, should be appreciated the very first time he sets foot on the hallowed turf of WHL; he should still be held in godlike status. That way we stand more chance of him realising he was both wrong for dreaming about playing for those cunts down the road and that he is at his spiritual home.

This is assuming he doesnt hand in a trannie request and go public on how unhappy he is to be forced to stay; then we should give him hell

Personally I think DL promised more investment; a pay rise and a release clause if we fail to achieve top 4; that I think is fair enough

Luka is god (to any tune to feckin like)

Very true that it’s not about the money, and what I guess he wouldn’t be wise to say whilst in the eye of this particular storm is that it’s not entirely about Modric either.

It’s about setting hard-nosed precedents for the future whereby we just aren’t a selling club, no matter the ploy. Our contracted players won’t be wooed out of the backdoor whilst we’re compensated with a bag of shekels, told to count them, be on our way and be grateful.

I’m pretty sure Fergie had half a clue how we respond to faucet-like approaches, now (fingers crossed) I’d hope the full picture is there for everyone.

I’m only disappointed we didn’t accept the £22m offer and send Bentley over in a Cruyff mask and hairband.
