Reports flying in of activity at The Stadium of Light and we’re not talking about Niall Quinn declaring today, ‘Naked Friday.’ Again.
The Neopolitan Swordsman, aka Jermain Defoe has been spotted on the premises. Is he on the verge of becoming Barren Dent 3.0? Is he having a go on one of the girls from their Club Shop? Or perhaps he was simply taking the stadium tour?
Time will tell.

Dont want to pour water on anyone’s fire but I read on sp com that he was having a medical at snoozecastle last night.
Of course it possible that he is having medicals with both before a final decision is made but that seems unusual.
Sadly there is so much wind up crap/twitter twats around that I wouldnt take anything as real until it arrives through official channels.
Having said this I’d swap Gyan for Defoe on last season’s form – I think Gyan offers much more to the team when not scoring, works hard, makes a pest of himself to defenders, good in the area and about 4/5 years younger. Did OK in his first prem season considering Sunderland’s midfield is way weaker than ours.
I don’t want Gyan, I’d rather have a decent striker, if you want him, then there is no point getting rid of what we have got.
He ain’t gonna take us to the next level, only the one below!

Let’s face it, Harry has some of his own dead wood to get rid of too. Crouch, Defoe, Keane, Pienaar, Palacios, Kranjcar – all his signings and all stinking up the training ground to varying degrees.
