The NDP, Funding Transfers, Stratford, Pricing, Judical Reviews & We Are N17

Good morning.

And so here are the results of the Supporters Survey. And my thoughts at no extra charge …you lucky people.

So my sneaking suspicions were confirmed. The capacity figures at The Lane appear to be right and the bulk of you don’t attend every game home and away. The bulk of you do you bit and join in as and when you can.

So the message there is perhaps not, ‘sack the publicist’ but certainly tell them to buck their ideas up? The Trust may win more friends and thus more clout and respect if they made an effort to venture out of their archaic looking website, scrap membership restrictions and embrace the whole concept of openess. There are some cracking minds online THST, but you’ll have to come to them.

Remarkably positive responsive I’d say.

The pay out reluctantly figure would be the one to work on then. THFC merchandise punters are more motivated than your average punter shopping for a t shirt or a jacket because they live and breathe the brand on such an emotional level. You add the reluctant punters to the never shop figure and you’ve a third of your virtually brainwashed customer base who are still refusing to hand over geld gladly. THFC, your buying sucks.

This reflected Question 1. Most fans don’t routinely get to games so money for players out weighed access to tickets. The better facilities figure was higher than I anticipated. Oh White Hart, thou outdated beast. 14 people were obviously so fecking nervous they were somehow backing a move to Stratford on this one they screamed, “I see no benefits!!!’ Michael McKintyre stylee. Bless.

And so the 14 Herberts from the previous question snowballed. To 122 good folk who would never darken a new stadium’s door. My hunch is that they won’t be missed. God help the poor schmucks who have to listen to then chunter when meeting up with these visionaries at away matches.

Bobby Kennedy said that at any one time, 20% of the people are against anything. So Levy & Co desperately need to work on shaving that 1% down.

Proof that most people knew what the plan was. But why was the communication so poor that a quarter of fans were ‘out of the loop’?

As per question 8. Only worse. 50% of supporters didn’t have a clue. Come on Tottenham. Talk to us.

A third of you backed the Bed Sheet Initiative. Two thirds did not. The sooner these low brow clown school drop out pressure groups leave the field of play the better. An intelligent exchange of thoughtful dialogue is the only way forward.

‘We Are N17!’

Of course you are.

I believe that if we had moved to Strateford I wouldn’t have got a refund on my rail card. Best stay where we are then surely?

When i read the blogs at the height of the proposed move i found myself getting angry at the pro move punters. They were full of fact and figures and very condescending to anybody who thought with their heart, maybe naively.I always thought it was silly to have a action group but i wanted what they shouted for too, hopefully we’ll all be happy and i hope we make the capacity a few thousand more than the bastards down the road COYS

While I wouldnt have minded a move to ST Rat Ford and a swanky new stadium, I would of course prefer to stay at home …. in my little village in Sussex. I think the draught would have been too much at STratford and the open air thing would have been no good for my chilblanes. And where would I hang my clothes and plug my radio in? These things need to be thought about – also, can you imagine calling the cat in at noight – it’d be a nightmare.

Also Harry, way too many questions – can we have an easier survey next time with a multiple choice of two – yes/no, and only one question.

    Very taxing, very taxing indeed

Modric is not back in training yet but they are saying he is pushing for a move.
Is this because of the interview he gave a few weeks ago re Chelsea or of fresh comments ?
I have not seen any comments from him, apart from those in the original interview.

      • smoggiespurs says:

nothing from modric, just sky sources. Just sky stirring up the hornets nest is all. Of course he will ask levy for a move. We all knew that already. And levy will simply say no. Don’t panic captain mannering

seems to me that absolutley nothing else has happened in the modders thing but the mood is changing against him at a fast pace.

there could be a real possibility that first game of the season when he runs out in the shirt, he is booed and in jan takes him and our other best players with him – and i would have no arguments.

some level headed thinking is needed and a sense of perspective – much like yours smoggers.##COYS

I haven’t written on this blog for some time now, but I do follow it closely and commend you harry for your wit and analysis; at a time where football is making me very annoyed with the world, you give me a few minutes of football related happiness that brightens up a moment of most days. For that my fellow yiddo, I owe you.

I have decided to make a re-emergence as a contributor to this blog, and not just a consumer of it to vent my unadulterated anger at the horrific state our premier league finds itself in. Infact, it is not only the ongoing ‘will he, won’t he, shouldn’t he show a little more respect’ saga with regards our fallen angel, monsieur moddy (which has pierced my very sould it must be said), but also that I have found myself in the unusual position of feeling a tad sympathetic towards our woolwich neighbours.

Porquoi? you ask, well, because I say, despite possessing a stadia of the the capacity we so obviously crave and consistently appearing in the champions league etc, have somehow stumbled in to a situatuion where all their former stalwarts and current stars seem to be jumping ship; headed evidently, for clubs whose veins are infected with a curse so vile that it would turn the devil himself towards the formation of A marxist commune in the the lower depths of hell.

The point of this rant, well, I just want to say that I am longing, absolutely ravenous for, the day when the filthy money is torn from these clubs and they fall from their tainted grace and finally allow for the rise of clubs who have earnt the right to be top clubs through prudence and good management strategy.

It angers me to my core, that our beloved club has to lie down while these vultures take their share and once the carcass is stripped we attempt to pick ourselves up and act as if everything will be all right. Football is in dark dark times, but I can see a future where THFC, amongst reputable others, will see those glory glory days once again.

Apologies for both the length and the anger involved in this message, I’ve just had enough.

chin up fella, could be a gooner…………
the one thing i keep in mind is that when(yes, when) we are the beacon of football every club wants to follow, it will be because we have done it honestly – in grace and style with no distateful shortcuts.

This is what really makes me a yid and i suspect its what makes you one too…….

the spurs way – in which our rich heritage would be proud

      • LDNYid says:

Thanks mate, appreciate it, and you’re right and so is the other guy who said, pretty much, that those who wanna bigger orf can…with our boots up their backsides.

We will do it the tottenham way and the tottenham way makes me proud, AND, when we are there, I will look back on this bleak time and say, those dirty clubs had it coming!

        Up the Yids!
