Adebayor Transfer Compromised?

Good Afternoon,

I wish I had something to cheer you up.  I do.

But the Spanish Daily Sport is running a piece this morning that while we sit watching the girls go by, Real Madrid are all set to offer Gago plus €10M to Manchester City T/A Bedsheets & Banknotes, Eastlands Inc. in exchange for Adebayor.

Adebayor obviously knows a pay cut is in the offing, it’s just a question of which shirt he’ll be in when it arrives. With our reputation I’d imagine he’ll opt for that of Los Blancos. But this hinges upon City being prepared to accept the deal I guess.

Considering nothing is actually happening, it’s all very complicated.

The winner of the Audioboo quiz was none other than ‘TonguesTooShortToFelchWithGodwho wins an autographed copy of the excellent, ‘The Ghost Of White Hart Lane.

DM Tweet me where you want it sent, old girl. And well done.

A reality check…as frustrating and boring as it is….we have a problem with a glut of ‘not wanted’ players in our squad. 30 highly paid first teamers does not fit into a 25 man-sized box. You can’t blame Levy for telly Arry to get rid of some ‘float’ before he can have some new ‘top top players’. To get two or three new faces in means losing about 6 or 7 players. Trouble is that at today’s stupid fees/wages no club (unless they’re in the “bankrolled by the richect man in the world” category) can have deadweight on the payroll. Levy has a problem – highly paid stars on contracts with a few years to roll who can sit it out – I’d think he is in a pretty weak bargaining position at present. Give the man a break – he knows he needs new blood otherwise we won’t keep the current handful ( or also attract top quality in future) of world class players we do have. Behind the scenes stuff is going on – but given our situation the realistic outcome is only ever gonna be getting players from lastminute.com

Roger Spurs. Selling players is just has dangerous has buying and if you get both or one wrong you can ruin your season before it starts. We not me by the way are clambering for strikers and new players yet one very good player we bought late for a bargain last year upset the balance of our four strikers yes all four even Crouch who made goals for Van. We was in a great position just behind the leaders hands and heals waiting for the last few furlongs too hit the whip and sail into the top four January came and we got badly trapped on the rails no where to go blocked by Chelsea City Arsenal Utd Bernstien the clark of the course ignored the objections to Stoke playing City and never bothered about doping his ex employers had to get fourth is job depended on it the Arab owners had recommended him to the SkinT FA who had lost the world cup to Russia and ABV of Chelsea .So we can sell Keane Kranjcar Crouch Palacios Bentley Dosantos Hutton and make other teams stronger and we could be losing points every week to players we thought was not good enough like Bent 17 goals . This would be my only players to leave and where they would be going out of harms way Keane Celtic or to Sven Hutton Rangers on loan Dosantos Spain Palacios France Pav Mosco for Wangner Love Bassong Bolton for Cahill or Samba. the rest can stay Love Crouch Defoe or Loriente mMoney and Pav Loaned swaps.

Davspurs is mental, I think he types and then doesnt return to check responses as everyone always write the same thing, poor punctuality mate, “spaces” “paragraphs” “commas” and “full stops” would help as in a way it seems you know your football.

Davspurs reminds me of “bannerman” that i.used to walk round Puccadilly Circus, predicting the “end is nigh” and urging people to eat more lentils and less protein in order to curb their lust.

This being reported a few places now. Surely they wouldn’t actually report that he has signed?? If he has signed this is awesome, let Modric go for Sturridge + cash and we have a good chance at top 4.

If this is not true I will go to the various news sources and strongle them. Goodnight.

  • HotspurHamster says:

Selling off the Kranjcar’s and Palaccios’ of this world is a double edged sword. Just as we don’t want to sell Modric to a team we are trying to catch… it could be a mistake to sell good players to the Stokes, Sunderlands, etc who could challenge us for 4th/5th/6th spot. It is such a shame that overseas teams dont’ seem to be buying from EPL teams (presumably due to the inflated prices?)
