Can You Guess Which One Of Our Strikers Might Be Off To Spain?

That’s right.

The worst one, if your idea of worst is the one that’s scored the most. As I hilariously Tweeted yesterday there is an emerging pattern here whereby our principal criteria are that a player can speak the Queens, get a round in and know his way around a roast dinner.

A decent source in Italy is suggesting that Espanyol are enquiring about Super Crazypavinchenko with a view to a loan/option to buy deal.

You tell me. It makes sense from their perspective with Osvaldo doing the off to Roma and given the choice of our fearless trio, would you not go for the one that scores now and again, over the Circus ManĀ© and the Midget Gem? Triffic.

Strengthening Stoke’s team just in time to get beaten by them in the Carling Cup. Triffic.

      You say ‘Strengthening’…….. :shifty:

crouch to be sold before the pav?
puts paid to the argument that arry only plays his favorites and looks after them even when not deserved. Puts a new spin on the parker thing then?
Have we got a proper manager all of a sudden?

I think maybe there’s a footprint on the seat of his trousers and the words “This is how we do it here” ringing in his ears. Hopefully it’s Chelsea’s legal team that’ll feel the force soon.

  • Chrispurs says:

we should forget FA Cup, Carling Cup, U R Ropey Cup, and concentrate on the PL.Playing in the CL is everything.

Really ? Why are the Goon faithful so fed up ?

      • frontwheel 2 says:

Because they are arrogant fuckers who want it all on a plate.Mind you its scary to think of how they will be in a few years when the emptycrates is payed for

Pavlova and Crouchino out with Ade and say Huntelaar or Ruiz in would absolutely be a terrific upgrade for us. Parker in for Sarge is also a major upgrade. In the case of Parker he is a very good, experienced Premiership player who is an ideal partner for Modders NOW bearing in mind that Sandro is out for at least a month, Thud is still clearly struggling with injury and always struggling with fitness, then JJ well ????? and Liversalts who is just too inexperienced. Our midfield simply do not have the mobilty and energy to cope with the Prem without the fully fit Sandro. Diarra would have been a better alternative but if he does not want to come we clearly HAD to get someone in at least to give us some option until Sandro or even Thud is back fully fit. Even then we still have plenty of fixtures to cover what with Ropey and Carling then FA Cup . There are just not many options available , Barton was clearly one of them but is he better than Parker, who is not likely to cause any controversy. On other options we have to be realistic that for players to come in we are simply not able to compete in terms of wages, CL or profile at the moment. Once we get a new stadium, which we will and keep our best players, which we have, we then become a bigger attraction. Winning a trophy or two and getting CL again would also help. Realistically we are
certainly better squadwise than Liverpool and Arsenal, so its just a question of proving it. Over to the players and management to do the talking on the pitch. Either way…….

    Please…. I no like slow Cole !!!!

Huntelaar yes. And he can play with VDV.

Ruiz? I am always suspicious of players or agents that claim “Spurs are interested in me”. Most of the stories are BS, and are purely to raise the players profile so that he can get a move or new contract. That’s before I go on to say that I don’t see that he is anything remotely special.

      • Anthony In That Number says:

Ruiz looked quite lively for 20Twente when they played us twice in the CL but it would remain to be seen if he could cut it in the Prem. He might be a bit lightweight. One guy who might be worth a punt from the Championship is Emnes from MBoro who is really quick, powerful and scoring for fun at the moment. The problem is we really need proven performers who can hit the ground running and have Prem experience (like Parker,Adebayor for example. Problem is that once the teams in the CL have had their pick of the players available we realistically have what they don`t want. At least we are a stable club with proper management (by that I mean DL) rather than the mess that some very big clubs find themselves in for one reason or another… eg Newcastle, Everton, Leeds, both Sheffield clubs, WHAM, etc..
We have a lot to thank DL for even though we Spurs fans are quite hard to please imo.

        • SpurredoninDublin says:

Agree with you on DL. I will probably be lynched for saying this, but I think if Sugar had given it his full attention, he could also have done the same.

The job of Chief Exec at a PL team is a full time job. I think it’s fair to say that by the the time DL arrived, we had had a long period of under-management by Sugar, following mismanagement by Scholar and co. DL was just what the doctor ordered. In my opinion, the best move he made was signing Arnesen as DOF to replace Pleat. It was from that time, that our fortunes started to take off. I wonder what might have been had Arnesen not been tapped up by Chelsea?

Agree, Dan is definately the man. A few mistakes, like deadline Dimitar and the way he treated jolly old Jol, but he will not risk the health of our club for any player or manager. Has a reputation as a tough negotiator too, which is a bit strange considering his rather camp voice and slight frame. I dont know why, but i`m pretty sure that he has a weak, wet handshake.

For all my support of Pav, I found myself less than impressed seeing all his tattoos the other night.

I don’t know how many of you are aware, but Pav is also an elected councillor in his home town. Of course you have to wonder how anyone can vote foe a candidate that lives and works 1500 miles away. I can just see it now:

Pav: “The Council did what to you? That’s outrageous. Come to my office and see me in the morning and I will get it sorted out for yo. Yes, that’s right, Aerflot fly into Heathrow every day. You think it’s a lot of effort just to get back 25 roubles? Comrade!. Where are your principles”?

Seriously though, anyone ever seen a politico with a tattoo before Pav. The scary thing is that one day, he might be President of Russia. Any country that could elect Putin twice, could elect Pav. HR had better watch out for those KGB hit squads.
