Wotcha.

In an unsensational and all too predictable flash of cockroach like behavour, our tight lipped supremo passed the buck for this evening’s thumping to …Chairman Daniel Levy.

Levy, who has done nothing but hamper the clubs process by shipping in expensive deadbeats for the last two years finally brought Mr Redschnapps out of his self imposed vow of silence and meditation this evening.

“We need one or two and we need some characters and I’ve said this for a long time to the chairman.

I know exactly who we need and if the chairman can help me get them then we’ll be a better team”

This would be funny if I didn’t care. Arry bought Defoe back and his strategy there was to eventually give him a Jimmy Greaves DVD. Arry watched PSB die a slow death at Liverpool and spent millions resigning his corpse. And then Arry brought in 3MP and did his level best to turn us into a modern day Watford.

If this wasn’t enough, he then publicaly backs the idea that we sell arguably our best player to fund the purchase of an old West Ham player and an old Pompey player. Not mum’s jewellery, Dell!

In the words of Del Trotter, who needs a recession when you’ve got him as a financial advisor?’

Arry makes Venables look like Alan Sugar. He makes Fred & Rose West look like Terry & June.

Yes he’s probably the best manager since Keith, but by Christ he’s beginning to frighten me now.

Without Modric we are shit. Our marginally excellent players ( Bale,VDV,Lennon) only shine because they feed off Modric’s quality. If he leaves we will be exposed for the underachieving mid table team that we are. We were fooled into thinking that we were Champions League material. Is funny what an effect players like Iniesta, Fabregas, Xavi, and Modric have on a team.

Is funny how three out of thosse four play for the same team. By flying spaghetti moster Barca are mighty.

I thought HR got it wrong tactically last night.

At half-time he correctly identified that Walker was being targetted and exposed, however, more importantly we were not competing sufficiently in midfield and sitting a little too deep; the strikers were seeing little useful ball. In my opinion Thudd. should have been brought on earlier for the labouring Kranjcar.

Having said all that, we don’t know whether Thudd can play for 30-45 mins. I guess we need to remember that we were without Modric, Sandro and an effective Thudd in midfield, and King or Gallas in defence.

Hopefully this will placate a few people. Or not. Just sayin’.

I guess the old “don’t reward him for his whining” argument will be raised.

But what about this logic? There is no doubt that he is by far our best player. If we can afford to pay him more, surely he deserves to be paid as much as possible, within our wage structure?

Hopefully he can get Modders and Daniel in a room to smok’um peacepipe. All better, see?

      What did I say?

its incorrect though LL, he can play in Europa and CL also but its only going to be relevant in january when he gets his move away from Spurs

      • Chirpy says:

Actually, you’re both wrong; it’s not as simple as that:

Regulations for the UEFA Champions League
18.07: “As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second or third qualifying rounds is entitled to play for another club as from the group stage, provided that his former club did not qualify for the group stage of either the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League.”

IF he plays (against Hearts) and Spurs make it to the Group Stage he wouldn’t be able to play in the CL, until…

AT the start of the round of 16 (in the CL) three new players can be ‘subsequently registered’, by 1-Feb-12, one of whom can have played in the Europa League Group Stage.

In any event this is all academic as he’s staying :daumen:

    Carlo Ancellotti anyone?

When Harry brought Pompey over to Hong Kong for a pre season a few years ago he was nicknamed by the us ex pats as ‘one pound harry’ due to the fact that he likes to carry a huge wad around but never actually liked spending his own money.

The only reason modders head isn’t right is because ‘arry changes his tune every friggin day!

Who runs Spurs? Who dictates transfer policy?
Seven managers in 10 years might give us a clue.

Redknapp is looking after Redknapp, quelle surprise. We knew what were getting – if you dont like it have a look at who appointed him.

And we dont know what is being said and done behind closed doors
